1.
At the time of meeting with Adam, it is my responsibility to establish a professional
relationship and following are some points which I have to keep in mind. Adam is 14 years old
boy who is living in OOHC house since five months. There are some boundaries which required
by nurse or me in professional judgement.
I have to keep my nature calmly which makes simple for me to know about the problems
or issues which are facing Adam.
It is my responsibility to maintain professional boundaries and make report evidence
about boundary violations as according to Adam.
I have to use professional judgement in order to determine appropriate boundaries with
Adam. The nurse nor the client are not always responsible for forming & keeping
boundaries.
I am responsible for beginning, maintaining or ending a relationship with client and in
such way it must ensure about their needs and expectation first.
I It is my responsibility that do not enter into any friendly relationship while giving any
serious treatment to him and have to maintain the boundaries which does not violate their
rights and responsibilities.
I have to access all privileged and confidential information and do not use this as
disadvantage of patient or for personal uses.
I do not communicate with Adam in different ways which may perceived as humiliating,
abusive or impolite. If I do this, then this shows unethical behaviour towards him.
