Ethical Dilemma
I will inform my manager about the entire scenario. But to act on this dilemma is not one
strategic point. I will act tactfully. But before going to manager, I would like to discuss it with
one of my good friend, so that second opinion can be taken for this dilemma. It can be possible
that he may think differently. To discuss with my friend is important because it is to build my
confidence by rehearsing, so that I can get better energy to get engage in conversation. Also, by
discussing the matter with an individual with different culture can provide a wider range of
insight. So it’s necessary to deal with this scenario. (Ingram, 2017).
As per my knowledge, it can be an issue created by one of the employee of university or a
number of employees can be a reason for this. I would try to get ACS Code of Ethics of the
University in order to get formal suggestion or we can say some formal guidance. The ACS code
of conduct can give a help on which step to measure the upsides as well as downsides of business
decisions by providing a clearer picture of which choice is more in accordance with the
university's moral duties.
In order to pursue it, I will schedule a meeting with my manager and must treat the meeting for
the purpose of information collection and will discuss it like I want to take his perspective as I
am uncomfortable on the whole dilemma. It can be possible that after discussing with manager,
something I came to know which I am unaware and it can change my perspective as well. The
key is to rehearse early, before a circumstance arrives so I have to be prepared when it does.
(Gallo, 2015).
If my immediate boss is unable to help me, I will definitely go to HR manager and will discuss
the entire ethical dilemma that I have seen. If I discuss with HR manager, it can help me to keep
out of any type of trouble and can help to resolve the confliction of marks. This will be the
responsibility of HR manager to act in a responsive manner and very carefully. He is the person
who can help to find the main culprit in the given dilemma without disclosing his strategies to
anyone. So after my immediate boss, HR manager will be the best person to whom I can talk
about the dilemma. (Ceplenski, 2013).
