MAIN BODY
Reflection on the basis of group discussion and learning from case study
Participating in the group discussion was the great experience for me. I learnt lot of
things. I came to know that everyone's opinion is different on every topic. I really appreciate
group discussion. Doing classroom discussion is also an skill which everyone should have.
Through this group discussion my knowledge and skills both are build related to group
discussion (Chang, 2019). I found that when you do group discussion then you will come to
know more detail about the topic. Group discussion is also helpful in maintaining good relations
with other group members. It is very essential because group members will learn from each
other. One day prior to group discussion I started doing preparation for that. I was very exited for
group discussion as it was my first experience. I was already prepared for my part. Through
group discussion I realised that I can speak good in front of public. Before group discussion I
was nervous that how I will address whole group but my preparation was strong and helped me
to deliver best. I helped other group members to find out place where group discussion can be
done. Finally we ended up in finding classroom where group discussion had taken place. Group
discussion was started with positive vibes and while it was going through every group member
was carefully listening to each other. At the end of group discussion I made friends. Group
discussion has also helped me in improving my communication skills.
From the case study of Edward Snowden I learnt about the difference between ethical and
legal aspects. I found that Edward has leaked confidential government report in the public which
is not legal to do so but I believe that it is ethical what he did. Many people and government
officers are saying that Edward should be punished because he has done offence and issue
government documents in public (Wain, 2017). It is said that he has violated security act. It is
right that law is broken by him, but he also has moral obligation to do so. I think that according
to him providing correct information to public is the super most thing and for that legal rules can
be violated. As public have right to know the actions taken by government. I believe that
Edward's first duty is towards public and which he fulfilled. I can say that Edward is the brave
officer. He did not fear before giving confidential information in public because he believes that
nothing should be hidden from public. Public pay tax, so they should know that what are the
activities carried by legal authorities. People also said that secrecy should not be leaked in such
manner but in democracy government is chosen by citizen of the country, so they must know

what government is doing. He can call as legal culprit but not ethical culprit. I want that more
such officers like Edward should present in government so that they make sure that important
information is reaching towards public.
