INTRODUCTION
The term ethics refers to a concept of knowing and doing what is right and what is wrong.
Society comprises of a group of people who lives within a surrounding having friendly relations
with each other through an informal meeting or gathering (Blau, 2016). People living within a
society shares their values or customs among each and makes a large area of country or territory.
Employability refers to an ability which an individual possess to attain some employment so that
can have adequate livelihood and survival. This comprises of certain knowledge, skills, attributes
or even understanding that a candidate carries with him in order to become an employee. The
present report comprises of some inequalities along with their solution which a female
employees faces in an organisation such as in Sky UK limited. Further the report includes an
organisation that contributes to solve inequality such as UN Women.
TASK
Overview of the company:
Sky UK limited is a broadcasting company based in UK being founded in year 1990
belongs to an industry of mass media. The company is offering its services in a form of
broadband or television, mobile or telephone fixed line services within a country. Till date the
company is having more than 12.7 million of customers who are associated with it. The company
offers wide range of its services with numerous different features that makes it different from
rival firms in an industry.
Identification of three causes or problem for the type of inequality within the business:
The three different causes of problem for the type of inequality are mentioned below:
1. Income Inequality: This comprises of differentiation in remuneration or salary which an
employee gets from concerned organisation for which he or she is doing hard work
(Jacobs, 1995). In relation to Sky UK limited the company has experienced a gap in
payment of bonus where company’s women’s were getting less bonus payment as
compared to the male employees within the same organisation and at same place of job
profile.

not seen or treated as an equal human being rather males are treated as superior. In
relation to Sky UK limited the company has experienced a gender inequality or a gap for
approximately 11.5 per cent due to a lack of female employees at senior or for
technological roles within an organisation (Barratt Bianca, 2018).
3. Inequality in promotion: This comprises of females not getting an opportunity of getting
promoted even if they deserve due to their feminism factor instead of males even who are
not competent for the higher job position. In context to Sky UK limited the company has
an experience of having promotional inequality for women employees as they were
having less number of female employees in their organisation.

1. Providing fair and justifiable remuneration to all: The solution asks companies to
offer fair and justifiable remuneration to all the employees working in same
department at same level so that cannot leave any scope of inequality. Company
even should provide adequate bonus or incentives if deserves irrespective of their
gender or religion.
2. Treating all employees equally: This can be done by not having any kind of
discrimination on the basis of gender and treating all the employees of company
equally. This also comprises of providing promotion or recognition to the deserved
employee by removing the thought of their masculinity or feminisms. Women and
men should be treated equally which can be done by recruiting both category of
employees in equal ratio.

organisation stands for “United Nation Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of
