Answer 1:
My Ethical Mentor is one of my school teacher of English subject.
Reason: She was an effective person who used to care about everyone by respecting and loving
her students, making them successful at school work by helping them, enhancing the self-esteem
of students by treating every student as deserving dignity and worth, and making them enable to
get appreciation of morality by treating in ethical way.
Quotation from mentor: She used to inspire us to do good to everyone by quoting “If we do not
have power to stop injustice, we must be powerful to at least protest against it.”
Application of learnings: In the organization, I always carry integrity and honesty in my
behavior and conduct and show personal ethics in all the tasks assigned to me. As a company
representative, we are required to comply with the highest standards of attitude. If anyone is
engaged in hurtful behavior with self or others, I always encourage a corrective feedback that is
charged with morals.
Answer 2:
Nelson Mandela was the most revered figure in public and much admired personality in whole
world. I also bestow extreme esteem and respect to him as he was a revolutionary anti-apartheid
in South Africa and a philanthropist. He was also elected as South African President for five
years. His government focused on undoing the inheritance of apartheid by undertaking
institutional based racism and nurturing racial reunion being a nationalist of Africa.
Teachings from Public Administrator
He was developing politically on the basis of his practice and training in legal domain and
particularly because of his emphasis to use legal revolution instead of engaging in violence. We

can use his teachings to defend any act by using Non Violent means and conducting exemplary
moral behavior as well as keeping a vision of ideology.

 Integrity: An upright, honorable and principled belief helps to restrain ourselves from
unscrupulous, hypocritical and expediency based actions.
 Honesty: It makes us engage in truthful and honest dealings and prevent us from deceiving or
misleading others by overstating or misrepresenting any statement.
 Trustworthiness and up keeping of promises: It is necessary to fulfill the spirit of
commitments and promises and not interpret any agreement either by way of legalistic or
technical manner to rationalize or create justified commitments.
 Loyalty: Being loyal to the company and colleagues can help to provide any reasonable
notice, Respect to proprietary information of any former employer and refusal to engage in
any unfair act.
 Fairness: Being just and fair in all the dealings always help to avoid overreaching, indecent,
or undue advantage of difficulties and mistakes of another.

Bottom Line ethics that all Public Administrators must share:
 Interest for the public should be top priority as each constituency’s interest must be balanced.
 Accountability and personal integrity should be the key as taking the ownership for a project
enhances the responsibility of its outcome
 Resources of the public should be respected as being transparent with finances of community

promote affirmative and fair actions.
Manager’s role to deploy these ethics in employees
 A manger should communicate clearly and regularly with employees and should hear
their concerns. He may also encourage them to participate and engage in good
governance.
 A manager should willingly listen to the employee’s grievances, criticism and respond
with respect as it may encourage them to take accountability for their course of action.
 Managers should show transparency with financial statements and conduct regular
investigations and audit as it will help managing the financial environment in the
organization.
 A manager should respect all of his employees and give consideration equally to all and
also be willing to take all inputs to make decisions.
