Contemporary Standards Of Practice That Support The Training Of Community Health
Professionals In Research Methods And Ways To Incorporate Research Into Clinical
Practice
There are various strategies that have been specifically designed to facilitate the training
of community health professionals in research approaches. These standards have been developed
to act as the framework for the practice expectations that are expected of all community health
professionals when undertaking research methods. These standards that support training include
a code of ethics that is incorporated that requires health professionals to have accountability,
values of practice and professionalism. To be able to incorporate research into practice, there are
processes that are followed; the clinician needs to learn of the advance, make a judgment and be
able to change practice to accommodate new skills (Reason & Bradbury, 2001).
Two Current Methods Of Research Within A Community Health Care And Mental Health
Setting And How These Provide Cost-Effective Links To The Consumer
There are two main research methods within a community health care and mental health
setting which include qualitative methods and quantitative methods. Qualitative methods are
methods that are used to get and gather non-numerical information in terms of symbols,
meanings, definitions, metaphors, and characteristics of the population under study. The
quantitative research methods are used to measure and determine data through measurement,
numerical and statistical analysis of data and information that has been gained via surveys, polls,
and questionnaires by the manipulation of the available and pre-existing statistical data by the
use of computational techniques. These methods provide cost-effective links to the customer as
the data and information collected are used to determine and develop cheap and effective ways
of solving problems (Creswell & Creswell, 2017).

Difference In Two Accreditation Needed For Community Health Care Setting, Ways Of
Meeting Ethical Standards and Confidentiality
The two accreditation that will be discussed are; The Health Facility Accreditation and
Hospital Infection Control Programs. The health facility accreditation also known as hospital
accreditation involves multidisciplinary and systemic inspection of the facility organizational
structure. The factors that are involved include staff qualification, keeping of records and
ambulatory care systems. There are requirements for the qualification of this accreditation
needed for community health care setting which include; statement of goals and objectives,
human and physical resources, quality assurance, organization and administration and patient
care. This accreditation differs from the Healthcare Environment Accreditation which involves
elements of improvement in safety and security in the community healthcare setting, design and
implementation, and organizational surveys to ensure a safe working environment. There are
various ways of meeting ethical standards and confidentiality which include following the ethical
code of conduct, informed consent and involving patients in managing their health conditions
and effective decision-making procedures that is all-inclusive (American Medical Association,
2016).
Cutting Of Services In An Ethical Manner
To be able to ensure cutting of services by twenty percent in an ethical manner, I would
ensure that the most deserving cases are attended to and ensure there is no wastage of resources
through accountability from those that are trusted with the limited resources. To be able to
properly communicate my decision to the stakeholders, I would have solid evidence that the
resources that are available are limited and also show why I have chosen to use the resources
towards some problems and not others. This will include the benefits that are attributed to using

resources to address those problems. The ethical issues and boundaries to consider include taking
into consideration the special groups such as children, the elderly and women. To be able to
make a sound decision on what to cut from my program I would ensure that I involve all the
stakeholders in determining what should or should not be catered for (Agoritsas, 2015).
