What are the role of human gender and age in the dynamics and structure of social arrangement?
To address the research question, what is the role of human gender as well as age in
the dynamics and structures of social arrangement? The society we live in today has accurately
specified the functions of each gender concerning age. There are those roles that can only be
played by the grandmothers that young women or girls cannot handle (Blondel, Decuyper, &
Krings, 2015). The tasks displayed by gender and age in this context are seen in terms of social
interaction and conversational responsibilities and complexities.
When the human participant is incorporated in the research, the researcher should
raise the research questions when considering the age and gender of the person involved. During
a conversation, the language used should be accommodative of all the factors of gender and age.
Indeed, the sequence of interaction between people of the same gender differs significantly with
that of people of different gender (Ridgeway, & Smith-Lovin, 1996). A male to female of the
same age bracket converse for a long time and more freely as compared to when the
communication is between people of the different gender and different ages. Their conversations
are restricted to respect and fear of misjudgment.
In terms of preference, teenagers prefer to interact freely to themselves in telephone
conversations than to their parents or guardians. Also, they like referring to their grandparents on
their issues. The male parents whose children are above the teenage connect more freely with
their sons than their daughters. Older women are also fond of conversing with young women,
especially on marriage issues (Bhatia-Lin et al. 2019). Their bond is strong and appealing to both
parties involved. In mitigating the communication issues, a conducive communication
environment should be set before an interview. Besides, all the barriers that might hinder
communication such as strictness, formality, language, clarity, and advancement in technology

should be addressed adequately to every party. The gender and age issues should as well be
considered when setting up a communication platform. Technology should consider both the
older and younger generation.
