Importance of ethics in research
Research ethics is where it is responsibility of researcher to be respectful and must be
honest to all the individuals who all are involved in the research studies or the reports, even the
students must have a responsibility to conduct ethical research. The participants in research must
know what are their rights, and responsibilities. Ethics in research includes there should be no
harm to animals and humans.
There are some of the ethical norms in research
 The participants are safeguarded from been exploited.
 To support aim of research that is trust, understanding, to minimize the error, faking or
biasing the research data.
 To values that are important for collaborative work such as, there must be mutual
understanding, faith, respect and fairness among each other. There are examples like
guidelines for authorship, copyright, and patenting right, data sharing policies.
 The third norm or ethical norm in the research that aids in builds up public support for
research. Several forms of research that promote other social and moral values that are
animal welfare, human rights, and the other social responsibilities (Resnik, J.D., &
PH.D., 2015)
New view towards ethics
Ethics are such norms that are followed in every organization to maintain laws and
dignity of organizations. Research, plays an important role that how to maintain dignity; follow
the rules and regulations that can appraise the worth of an organization.
There is we consider an ethics the most important factor because if any of the researcher who
forge the data in clinical trial that can harm or even kill the patients and the researcher who did
not follow the regulations and the guidelines related the biological safety may make himself at
risk and also the staff members and students. There is very interesting fact I came to know after
understanding ethics is that Ethics are not only about rules and regulations but in research areas
or other, it includes many factors like – Honesty, objectivity, integrity, a, there must be openness

among the employees and management, I only thought that ethics are just about rules and
regulation but after understanding more about ethics I came to know also that the Employee must
respect the intellectual property of a company. Employees working together must have respect
for each other. There should be no discrimination among employees who works together. The
very interesting factor about ethics was that it is not all about the guidelines, rules or regulations
but this also looks for the social care and the protection for animals also as they do not allow
such experiments in research that can harm animals.
Beliefs about research in ethics
According to my belief in any kind of research is conducted then there must be honesty
and transparency. The showcase of primary data finding in a prejudiced way must be avoided.
There must be respect for pride research members should be prioritized (GAJJAR, 2013).

Yes APA is a part of research ethics; this is a most important part as though citation the
references are plotted which helps the reader to easily go for the main source or data from where
the information has been taken.
Define plagiarism defined in research ethics
Plagiarism is considered as theft as the ideas and the words are of someone else who is
pretended as their own words. In research, plagiarism is taking the knowledge and ideas of others
and presenting as their work. This is considered an unethical way of obtaining data. This
represents dishonesty, disrespect towards the innocent person from whom the ideas have been
stolen (Fusch, NESS, BOOKER, & FUSCH, 2017).

Self-plagiarism
Self-plagiarism is recycling one self-previous work for another work and that is too done
without any citation sometimes we called it as a facsimile publication as compelling research,
papers, text and mark it as a brand new . There are four ways to avoid self-plagiarism-
 The first method is to write the original work
 One must avoid the submission of the same papers to different instructors
 Make comparison before submission
 Copying and pasting must be evaded from one to another
 First, discuss with the instructor before taking previous work
 Take ideas from previous but not to place them at new projects
 Create significant changes to your work
 Reframe the ideas so to fit it to different people and project
 Inflate the previous thoughts
 Difference your current ideas from previous
 Do not allow previous data this will confuse the reader
 Reference the previous work
 Include citation
