Answer to Question One
Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA) has laid its foundation of ethics in
a manner that has deemed to be exemplary in terms of community work. Under their codes of
ethics they have set forth the relevance of qualification and values, along with knowledge and
skills that help them to facilitate their association with other institutions. They are expected to
render acknowledgement to the fact that no individual, irrespective of their race, religion, age,
cultural background, sex, and diversity of gender or any difference in the individual will be
discriminated while being offered any kind of service. Thus each and every individual as a
human being, has been granted a right that would maximize their potentials as it provides no
infringement on other people’s rights. The (ACWA) consider social inclusion to be a basic
human right and every individual irrespective of his or her stature in life is capable of playing an
active role in the society. Thus, the fundamental values uphold the values of equity, social
justice, as well as human rights. Whereas, the Mosman Park home is known for providing care
round the clock to the people who are designated under the registered nurse who are extremely
dedicated. There are also teams of personal care givers who have the expertise to provide
assistance to complicated cases. It is also important to note that the cases that are critical are
always discussed with the family of the patients before moving forward with them. The Mosman
Park has also been known to win the accreditation of the Australian Government as it has
fulfilled all the 42 requirements that are needed for a care center for the aged to be registered.

According to the Aged Care Act 1997, that was compiled on March 10, 2016, and was
registered on March 15, 2016. This compilation stated that the text of the law was amended and
went in force on March 10, 2016. The act is known to provide for the Common wealth that

provides that financial support. The payment includes the payment of subsidies for the aged care
as well as the payment of various grants that connects the matters to various other provisions for
the aged. The preliminary matters that are related to the subsidies for the provider of the aged
care, a numerous approvals and same decisions that have come under the second chapter. They
are related to the provider or the aged care that is providing service. It also may be related to the
recipient of aged care.
Answer to Question Three
Various ranges of theoretical as well as methodological processes and perspectives that
have been guiding the practice in the profession uphold the social work when it comes to older
people. The System Theory that that the Social worker who is involved with the older people is
often concerned with the various aspects of the people such as any informal or natural system
that includes the family of the person, carer, friends, as well as neighbors. While the formal
system is the support of the community that is instrumental in providing more support to the
already available informal system. The societal system includes the institutions such hospitals,
health professionals, day care centers etc (Mounier, 2018).

There are a few key issues that are factors that are in focus to practices that are culturally
competent in terms of the agency’s service provision to culturally and linguistically diverse
CALD and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander service users. They include the facts such as
people who belong to CALD do not have backgrounds that are homogenous. There are many
different cultural and ethnic groups and then there is a lot of diversity in each of these groups.
These form to be factors that influence the identity of each person. There is also a need to
develop working knowledge concerning the migration experience. The process of migration to

another country is in itself an extremely stressful process. Another common aspect to encounter
is culture shock. The culture shock involves a process when “an individual’s basic values,
beliefs, and patterns of behavior are challenged by a different set of values, beliefs, and
behavior” (Wand, Pourmand & Draper 2019). There is also a need to develop understanding of
the experience of refugees. There are a lot of factors that are stress and are involved in terms of
pre-migration process as well as post-migration process. It is common for refugees to experience
issues such as denial of human rights, separation that is forced from the unit of family or a
fragmentation of the families. Witnessing the death of the family members from torture,
themselves being tortured, and being exposed to violence. Various forms of physical, emotional,
and sexual abuse, illness as well as starvation, various forms of exploitation; some instances have
also been reported where children have been forced to fight as soldiers in war fronts. These
situations have been the result of the development of post-traumatic stress disorder, depression,
and anxiety. Lastly, it is also important to understand and acknowledge the various differences
that are involved in the practices of child rearing. Although the various cultural diversity should
not be termed as an excuse for catering to various forms of child abuse and neglect, it should also
be understood that child-rearing process has its root in the cultures that defines the cross-cultural
acceptance that abuse that is sexual in nature for a child that is termed as child abuse (Wand,
Pourmand & Draper 2019).
