2ETHICS AND SUSTAINABILITY
Introduction
The report provides two ethical, social, commercial, or environmental problems which
need to be managed by contemporary organization. The next section provides identification of
issues regarding the six ethical framework, which can help in managing the issues (Keown,
2005). It merely provides complete idea regarding ethical decision making in workplaces.
The coming pages deals with identification of two issues and suitable ethical framework
in order to tackle it. In addition the report provides justification of made choices.
Identification of Issue 1
The first issue is where the manager of the business employs around 150 people. During
casual conversation with an employee, the point has been highlighted that business is being
completely overtaken by competitor. In the upcoming days, the office will closed for a month.
Leaders need to develop some ethical standard which the employee of the organization need to
cover (Siddiqi, n.d). It will ultimately help the conversation to move towards the model in order
to decide the violation of the company.
Ethical decision making can be defined as method which help the individual in decision-
making with codes of ethic and resources like professional guidelines and organizational
policies. It merely focus any ethical solution for the given issue. Most of the people with this

3ETHICS AND SUSTAINABILITY
Ethical Framework addressing the issues one and Justification of Choice
In order to tackle the given scenario, rights approach has been suggested where ethical
action help in protecting and respecting the moral rights. The approach merely begins from the
belief where human have dignity considering human nature. It completely based on the ability to
make free choice regarding what they can do with their life.
Considering this point regarding dignity, they come up with the right which should be
treated like end. It does not have any other way to end. Moral right is completely inclusive of
right for making the right choice about what kind of life it can lead to. Moral rights is inclusive
of rights to carry out decision-making regarding what kind of life it will lead to. This merely
focus on the privacy degree, which is widely debated. Even some of the people can argue
regarding the non-human rights.
Identification of Issue 2
In this case study, both staff and colleagues will lose their job. An approach has been
made during the CEO of business, and she makes confirmation of this. In addition, she orders to
not tell the present situation to anyone. If the other employee come to known this, they will
merely start for looking some other job (Velasquez, Andre, Shanks, T. & Meyer, 1990). This
particular will distract the employees in distraction from their day to day job.
In this case, I have made decision considering the provided scenario. Most of the
individual are required to make decision-making within this business-environment. Working for
this organization merely requires a suitable ethical model or even framework needed for decision
(Yu, Tao & Ivanhoe, 2010). Ethics in business, merely highlights any kind of unacceptable
behavior which the organization are expected to see from their employees.

4ETHICS AND SUSTAINABILITY
Ethical Framework addressing the issues 2 and Justification of Choice
In this case scenario, ethical theories are completely based on the ability for predicting
the consequence of any given action. For a utilitarian, the complete choice provides much better
decision-making for most of the people who are ethical correct. There are mainly two kind of
utilitarianism that is act utilitarianism and rule utilitarianism (Perrett, 1998). The point should be
noted that act utilitarianism where person carry out benefit for most of the people.
Both kind of utilitarianism come up with drawbacks. The point should be noted that
people can make use of life experiences for analyzing the suitable outcomes. One can easily be
certain regarding his or her prediction, which is very much accurate (Velasquez, Andre, Shanks,
T. & Meyer, 1990). The main target is all about achieving the maximum amount of good.
