The article “The ‘Ethics’ of Trump’s Border Wall” presents a question whether the
border wall is ethical or not. According to US President Donald Trump, the wall is considered as
noble as well as ethical and people who are opposing it are unethical (The ‘Ethics’ of Trump’s
Border Wall., 2019). A border wall can cause harm to both the refugees and immigrants. The
wall would redirect the refugees to remote areas of mountains and deserts where they can be
exposed to violence, poverty and death. The asylum seekers would be left at the mercy of
criminal groups due to the prevention of the wall (Heyer, 2018). Trump here wants to deny entry
for everyone who wants to cross the southern border. He is ignoring the adverse effect of the
wall that it can cause to the environment, vegetation, cross border commerce and farmers. Trump
is not concerned about the impact of the wall on the lives on many people including children
who are at danger.

The article “Should We Care About a Writer’s Personal Ethics?” makes everyone think
the need for "sanity clause" in the literary world. If the private as well as public life of an author
is considered as the crucial part of his literary value, then it might create difficulties for the
author to write anything for the readers that approaches true literature (Should We Care about a
Writer’s Personal Ethics, 2019). The author reveals the fact that contents of the novel are
considered as morally offensive and politically incorrect. An author's behavior which is morally
unacceptable often introduces a restriction on the public access to written work and thus morality
clauses will affect his work too. The author creates a written work as a model, which is
considered as a new life (Ferguson, Thornley & Gibb, 2016). Any work of the writer can be
published as long as it is liked by the publisher and the writer will not be penalized. Moreover, it
is needed to protect ourselves from the visual and written language risks.
