This ethnography project investigates the positive impacts of modern technology on societal culture, specifically focusing on family, community, and cultural musical events. The research explores how technology has influenced family size, communication methods, transportation, and access to education. Introduction
Ethnography as one of the branches of Anthropology refers to the systemic and social
study of the human culture of a specific group or even society. In this study of the culture of a
group or society, the researcher documents or even writes down his or her observation of the
culture from the contest of the participants. Culture, on the other hand, involves the way a
specific or certain society or group conduct its affairs from the family, community and also
during community musical events (Fleron, 2017). In this project, I will research on positive
impact brought by modern technology on societal culture more so family, community and also
event of cultural music. The essay will discuss what I am planning to do, the reason why have
chosen the research topic, how the research topic relates with family, society and cultural
identity, the duration my research will take and lastly will be the results I am expecting to find
from the research.
My intentions
Culture and technology affect each other. Traditionally, the kind of technology used then
affected the culture of the community. For example, family size. Before the introduction of the
modern technology, there were large families because the family planning technology was not
available. Today the family size has reduced due to the availability of modern technology on
how to family plan. Also, communities embraced their own way or culture of communication but
after the introduction of the modern technology, new means of communication and transport has
come up which has greatly affected community culture (Atkinson et al, 2018).
The reason for choosing this topic

There has been a lot of changes and development as far as technology is concerned and
because of this reason, I decided to research in order to understand whether this technological
advancement has had any positive impact to the family, society and cultural musical event (El-
Shinnawy & Vinze, 2016).
The relationship between the topic with family, society and cultural identity
Modern technology has brought about civilization in our culture. Our means of
communication, transport, medications among others have been affected by the introduction of
new technology. Different types of food has been introduced from different places due to this
modern technology thus making members of society to celebrate diversity of cultures. Also, it is
the modern technology that has brought about formal education making communities change
from informal education.

The project is likely to take a period of four months. This will enable me to collect

I will conduct an electronic interview with the participant and also attend those cultural
events as the participant do their performance so as to make me understand and record and
document (Hutchby & Moran-Ellis, 2015).
Expected results
From this project, I am hoping to discover that truly modern technology has had a
positive impact on the family, society and cultural musical events.
Conclusion
In conclusion, therefore, modern technology has been experiencing great advancement in
the recent years and therefore, this has provided a gap for research to be done on whether this
technological advancement has brought any positive impact to the family, society and also
cultural musical event.
