Introduction
This particular report is about trend analysis of tourism trips
in different EU countries before, during and after lockdown.
For finding the results, different tools such as descriptive
statistics to measure the central tendency and dispersion and
regression analysis for finding association has been used.
This poster presentation provides information on
recent statistics in relation to tourism in the European Union
(EU). Tourism plays a significant function in the EU on
account of its monetary and work potential, just as its social
and ecological ramifications. The elements that have driven
the hospitality industry before pandemic COVID-19 include
increasing disposable income, new travel trends, the
expansion of the web business coming due to the expansion
of web access and of web banking, web presence of pubs
and travel business catalogs and more.
Findings
Before:
The continued expansion of the global travel industry was
one of the key considerations that drove the development of
the friendship industry before the time of Covid. The
number of passengers around the world has steadily
increased in previous years. According to the development
forecasts of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the
number of passengers worldwide was to exceed 1.5 billion
by 2020.
During:
Coronavirus, the effects of the travel industry are inherently
unbalanced and separated from the human machine, the
symptoms indicate a major and global financial impact: the
presence of holidaymakers is estimated global fall to 78%
causing £1.2 trillion loss in travel industry revenue and 120
million direct job cuts in the travel industry by talking many
times about the impact of 9/11 and the downturn most in the
established experience.
After:
It is expected that even after lockdown the tourism will face
same impact as it face during lockdown; because the risk of
infection by this deadly virus will take more time to be
stable. For precaution purpose, travel will be allowed only
for some conditions regulated by government. So, EU will
take time to restore to its previous conditions and hence,
tourism industry will face downward trends after lockdown.

Data Interpretation
The above graph clearly indicates that before
lockdown; tourism industry was at peak with more
than 800 billion tourists travelling to EU. But
during lockdown, after March; the trend line
drastically dropped below 100 and stable upto
July. After July, it started raising but at slower
pace. After lockdown, trend line shows some
speed in rising but it is slower than fall. The trend
line is moving downwards; this indicates declining
trend in tourism industry.
