INTRODUCTION
FAST campaign -Public health of the England works closely accompanied by the stroke
Association. Thus, they has relaunched the National act as a F.A.S.T stroke campaign. This
campaign raises the awareness regarding signs of stroke as well as focusses on the significance
on the importance regarding acting F.A.S.T as well as calling 999. The F.A.C.E is considered as
acronym ( Fast,Arms,speech,time) (Robinson. and Jorge, 2016). This campaigns decides to
advertising form the last so many years as well as considers as a simple test to assist people to
the most common signs of a stroke as it focuses on the importance to act quickly by dialling at
999. Face- face fallen at one side are they are able to smile? Arms- can they raise both of their
arms ? Speech- If their speech can be slurred ? Time – it's time to dial at the number 999.
Aim- To raise awareness about the stroke is always considered as a medical emergency called
the aim of the FAST campaign, it assist people to know the signs as well as urge the individual to
see any sign regarding stroke through calling at 111 immediately. It encourages people to
identify any single symptoms of stroke

they made sure that all symptoms related to stroke has been clearly mentioned. Helpline number
and other information related to campaign was also been mentioned in leaflet and poster. By this
they have made large number of audiences aware about campaign so that they do not face
conditions of stroke in future (Saunders, and et.al., 2016).

significantly low in number.. This number got reduced. Also it was analysed that there were less

measures because of F.A.S.T so that their health outcome gets improved. People became aware
of early signs and symptoms of Stroke (Saposnik and et.al., 2016). They were successful in

identifying mini strokes at time, this has assisted them in saving individuals from suffering
various severe diseases.
Critics of the methods
Various methods that were being used in F.A.S.T campaigning includes promotion through
television, radio and newspapers. It was highly effective as more and more people became aware
about this campaigning through them. Also for treating patients they have made use of evidence
based interventions, person centred care and holistic approaches that has assisted them in
enhancing health outcome of service users (Saposnik. and et.al., 2016).
CONCLUSION
From the above study it has been summarized that Health care professionals has also
made patients aware about early signs and symptoms of stroke so that they can take immediate
precautions while they are suffering from problem of mini strokes. This campaign has saved life
of so many critically ill patients by providing them with services immediately. Multi-disciplinary
team was being used in F.A.S.T campaign.
Recommendations
It is recommended that awareness can be arises by the health communication campaigns
such as create and build the health policy and make aware to the people about the stroke and its
consequences. It is recommended that to government as well as local agencies can promote
campaign through social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram ,twitter, WhatsApp and
many more. They can promote also through Tv ads and local newspapers. It is recommended that
members of the campaigns can work with nurses and social workers to educate local people
about stroke, its symptoms and measures to be taken
