INTRODUCTION
Study and research skills is academic research that enable individual to develop and
implement their own learning style and will explain the problems of distance in learning. It is
essential for the individuals to have this skill to effectively evaluate the study of research. The
study will aim to evaluate the topic global citizenship with the help of finding and evaluating
information and critical thinking (Barrow, 2017). Global citizenship is a wide and sensitive study
that is based on the values and beliefs of the individuals. The CRAAP test will be utilise for the
source evaluation and as per the that, main arguments will be done. Along with it, the challenges
come in the evaluation will also be analysed with the solution.

1. Why this topic?
The reason to select the topic of “Global Citizenship” is because it defined as a moral and
ethical disposition that can guide the understanding of groups and individuals of local and global
context (DeLucca and et. al., 2019). The world giving priority and taking the step ahead to being
global citizen rather than consider as specific nation and with the decision, there are many
articles that and sources were given with many mind set. The trend and value difference is
currently increase on very high level and various source of articles, books are there with their
own thoughts and statistics on the topic. Thus, the main reason is to evaluate that the source are
authenticated or not. People in the world are not aware about the exact definition or meaning of
global citizenship so the main motive is to identify relation and difference between nationalism
and global citizenship (Gaudelli, 2016).

The evaluation seems easy but it is not as there are many challenges appear in the
completion of the work (Gaudelli, 2016). Following are the challenges related to the completion
of the essay;
The challenges had started from the beginning of the selection of topic. As I want the
topic that is the major thing to talk about by the world and I realised that people have lack of
knowledge about the global citizenship because lack of information or wrong information
circulate in the society. After that, finding proper sources is a bit hard task for me as there is a
limit of three sources and I am forced to select the best source that contain information related to
the topic of essay (Goren and Yemini, 2017). I had lack of knowledge of CRAAP test and to
utilised it, so the evaluation is bit difficult for me. There are many more challenges were faced
by me in the whole process. For example; it is quite hard to state the arguments in support and
opposite as the sources on this topic is limited and availability is low. This was the biggest
challenge for me.
Following are the solutions related to the challenges;
For overcoming the challenges, the first step is to take the help of the seniors. Leader had
also helped me in the completion. For the CRAAP test, I learned from some online sources to
improvise my knowledge of source evaluation. Furthermore, I will overcome the challenges by
improving my skill and knowledge of research and learn to utilise the tools and techniques in
research. Seniors are the best people or resource to learn many things from them and I will be
utilising them effectively to gain experienced knowledge (DeLucca and et. al., 2019). Other than
that, faculties in the academic setting will also help out to overcome the challenges faced in the
completion of essay.

CONCLUSION
From the above evaluation it has been summarized that the scientific evaluation is
essential in study and research skill. This has been helped in identifying the authentication,
reliability and credibility of any source and make individuals able to understand that how they
can select proper source that has trustworthy information. It has been analysed that evaluating
source is not that easy but with proper guidance one can achieve the target. The best way to
evaluate any source is to apply CRAAP test in academic setting.
