INTRODUCTION
The health and social care organisation is define as services which are deliver to people
in order to improve their life. This is necessary to fulfil by organisation so that well being of an
individuals can be improve. There are various changes occur with in organisation which facilitate
health and social care of people. These changes can be occur through various factors such as
political, technical, economical, social and laws or legislation. These factors help organisation to
change in their strategies which enhance health of people. It includes management which
influence changes in services so that it can benefited to individuals in an effective way (Bareil,
2015). In this assignment, there are key factor occur that cause changes in services of NHS
organisation. There are some challenges of changes which are need to measure in services and
have some criteria for identifying changes are covered. In addition to this, the impact and
response of recent changes are also discussed in this assignment. Moreover, key principles of
change management including planning from which changes can implemented with in the
organisation. There are some methods from which changes of services can be monitored are
covered in this.
TASK 1
1.1) explain the key factors that drive change in health and social care services
There are various key factors that help in bringing changes with in services of
organisation. These changes can develop through internal and external factors that effect
changes. The internal factors refers to changes that are occurring with in organisation at period of
providing services to individual. These changes are develop by professionals and management
who regularly monitor changes that can occur through key factors (Baumeister, 2015). It
includes examine effectiveness of services by identifying satisfaction among customers. The
internal factors includes structure and culture of organisation that influence changes in services.
It consist of needs and expectation of service users that can drive changes in health care
services.
The technical changes with services can also bring changes of organisation. The presence
of resources is a major key factor that initiated changes in an organisation. The external factors
are present outside of environment that influence quality of care services. The political,
competitors and legislation are some external factors that influence care and services of

organisation. These factors are initiated by NHS organisation which assist them to deliver good
quality of services to service users. In context of case, implementation of changes does not occur
properly by organisation which raise negative influence of services among users. There are some
threats and opportunities are present which are need to examine by service providers that can
direct them in delivering services (Diaz, Corbett and Camiling-Burke, 2018). There is care
quality commission factor which sets a standard of care from which organisation is able to
deliver effective services in an appropriate manner. These key factors that cause changes with in
organisation are described below. Legal:- This includes different legislation acts that bring changes in health and social care
organisation. The care act 2014 is implementation to asses needs and requirements of
customers to organisation. As this act can enhance mangy changes with in organisation. Demographic:- It consist of lifestyle, age and needs of customers that can influence
changes. These are need to be consider at time of providing services as some people of
different ages are not comfortable with changes. This create other changes according to
comfortability of a person. Technical:- This factors includes record keeping, electronic methodologies, etc. that can
initiate changes of services in an organisation. The presence of new technologies also
bring changes in the organisation.
Political:- This factor consider policies and guidelines which are regulate by government.
Their aim is to maintain stability and implement changes with in services of organisation.
1.2) assess the challenges that key factors of change brings to health and social care services
The various challenges are come out when any change is implemented with in
organisation. It is very hard to maintain changes along with satisfaction of service users. The
changes can be come up for different factors such as funding, investment, support and resources
for people who are connected with organisation. So, the changes should properly reached
considering key factors and needs of organisation. As it requires all external and internal factors
that bring changes with in organisation. There are different challenges occur in implementing
changes in health and social care organisation. So, it is necessary to fulfil all those factors which
help in organisation in their services. The lack resources and workers leads to various challenges
in front of organisation as it increase dissatisfaction of treatments and care by customers.

occur through pressure of demographic and funding on organisation. The services are not given
effectively as low rates are present in organisation which develops competition in between other
organisation. They are also facing challenges due to low pay scale of employees as no one wants
to work with low pay scale. The economic factor of organisation does not develop appropriately
from which various challenges occur.

2.1) Devise a strategy and criteria for measuring recent changes in health and social care
When any change implemented in an organisation, it is necessary to measure those
changes to analyse the effectiveness of it. The measures can help in supporting services of
organisation so that it can satisfy customers in a positive manner. There are various measuring
strategies that are used by NHS in order to improve their services for welfare of individuals. The
some of the strategies are described below.
System quality assurance:- this help in measuring services of organisation that are
providing to service users. This ensure about quality by using various strategies and
criteria in their system of organisation. There criteria for measuring changes with in
health and social care organisation are described below.

1. The identification of effectiveness of changes among patients occur in their criteria of
measuring changes. This help organisation in raising quality of services which help
organisation to develop more services (Fikar and Hirsch, 2015).
2. The implementation of changes by identifying needs of customers in treatments and
services that increase welfare of service users. The follow up of guidelines and policies
by organisation also include in measuring changes that are set by government. Feedbacks:- In health and social care organisation, stakeholders plays an important role
in changes of organisation. The changes can be measure by taking feedbacks from
stakeholders. This will help organisation to identify needs and requirements of each
individual properly. This consist of interviews and questionnaire from which customers
can share their experiences towards changes that are implemented with in system of
organisation. Self-evaluation:- This consist of self realisation in which employees analyse their
acceptance of changes in services. From this, workers can evaluate effectiveness of
changes on them (Sankaran and Saad, 2018).
Inspections:- this is a most appropriate criteria of measuring changes of organisation. It
includes documentation review, observation and analysing case studies in strategies of
measure changes. This strategy should be regulated on a daily purpose so that clear
outcomes can be analysed. The inspectors must create new criteria and strategies that can
help in measuring changes effectively.

There are various impact occur due to presence of changes with in organisation. This
assist in increasing relation between service users and service providers. The range of impact is
depend on services that are providing to customers. The impact of changes can be measure by
number of ways that are provided to staffs and customers. These impact can be measure by
feedbacks and surveys (Fünfgeld, 2015). These help in identifying impact of changes among
customers against their set criteria of quality. As it can also identify through perception of
customers and workers against changes.

to improve their life. The impact of changes occur negatively on staff members as they are not

local authorities which develops a negative impact on service users. The NHS prefer accurate
changes that help organisation to bring changes with in organisation. The competition between
organisation and local authorities raise negative effect on services. As there are lot of more other
impact occur on health of service users. Some people finds difficulty in effectiveness of changes
as that are not according to their needs.

The various responses are occur with recent changes in an organisation. These responses
occur through customers, staff members, professionals and management of organisation. The
responses can be analyse by measuring gap between service users and professionals. It can be

8 steps of process in which decrease of one step can cause adverse impact on process. The steps
are stated below. Create urgency:- it is necessary to keep aware about changes to stakeholders so that
changes can be occur successfully. This provides support from service users that can help
organisation. It also includes about changes that are needed to be occur in order to gain
success for organisation. In this, necessary and important changes are implemented that
are desire by organisation. Form a powerful coalition:- there is necessary to direct other members about changes
that can be occur by building coalition with in changes that help organisation to develop
changes. Create a vision for change:- it is necessary to create a vision that assist stakeholders so
that they can assist organisation to create changes with in services.

Communicate the vision:- after implementing vision, communication is another which is
necessary to look forward in change management. It supply a chance for organisation to
use coalition in managing change (Moss, 2017). Remove obstacles:- in order to develop strength for changes, it is required to remove all

These obstacles can be develop through stakeholders and legislation, etc. It is necessary
to remove as their impact does not cause other obstacles. Create short term wins:- the execution of changes, the short term rewards are build

planning. The initiation of plan must occur in a optimistic manner so that it can develop positive
impact of changes. So, in order to develop positive result of changes, some plan are needed to be
implemented that are stated below.
Management plan:- this plan is refers to managing stakeholders who are affected from
these changes (Redmond, 2017). The proper management plan can help organisation to analyse
needs of customers. The other organisation and authorities consider about changes that are
initiated by them. The implementation of CQC in services can also help in developing plan as
they have some set of quality standards. This is necessary to be implemented with in system of
organisation as with this proper resources can help in bringing change.
Action plan:- this is define as the aim of any plan program. This justify the status of any
plan that conduct at period of changes. With this, the NHS and local authorities can set an aim
which help them to implement good care and treatment for service users. It can also address
various challenges that come up in implementing changes. The proper action plan can help in
establishing proper care plan according to needs of customers.

Communication plan:- this is an important plan while initiating changes with in
organisation. This consist of communicating with staff members and service users so that they
can easily communicate about changes. With help of this, proper information can be shared ton
service users. This also help in communicating and increasing coordination between
professionals and service users. In this, proper communication plan are needed to be
implemented so that proper change can be bring up in organisation.
3.3) assess how to monitor recent changes in health and social care services
The lots of issues and changes can occur in changes that are occurring in organisation.
The monitoring changes develops effective changes in processing system of organisation. This
should be occur on a regular basis as impact of changes can be occur properly. There are some
methods that can be used in approaches of monitoring (Romano and Peters, 2015).
Observation:- In this approach, observing changes by identifying information of changes
in the organisation are occur. With this, behaviour change of staff members among service users
can be identified. It can also enhance training of employees that are lacking in delivering
services.
Survey:- the management should take surveys from different stakeholders as each have
different perception towards changes. This can help in measuring challenges that occur in
conducting changes. As it supply visibility of changes which are necessary to be occur in order
to improve care of service users.
