INTRODUCTION
Human resource management is responsible managing the manpower in the organisation.
It also focuses on hiring the potential employees in the organisation. When efficient candidates
will be hire for the operations( Willems-Braun, 2018). They do their best with the skills and
knowledge in a specific field. The report will be covered on the concept of training, learning and
development of the employees. It also explain the training process and different methods of
training. Furthermore It will explain the effectiveness of the Human resource in Netflix. It
explains the benefits of learning and development activities to the organisation's competitive
advantages. Performance management is the another concept which will discussed in this report.
Importance of various reward management in the organisation and Evaluation of reward and
performance management system to the organisation's profitability and growth.
TASK 1
(A) Explain the difference between learning, development and training.
Learning is a way of acquiring new skills, values, preferences, knowledge and
behaviours, that will help in future growth and specialised in their field. It will also initiates the
learner to enter into new areas of development. it will be generate from learning, experience in
the specific field(Scholz and Rennig, 2019). Development is the process of positive growth,
progress, change in the various aspect of the individuals that leads to grow in their performance
level and Netflix will achieve its business goal. Training is defined as the development of the
individual by various training sessions and the seminars. It is the teaching, developing or
enhancing the skills and knowledge of the candidate for the better work performance in the
organisation.
These three are interrelated to each other. For the overall development of employees, It
require attention of learning, development and training. Learning is a aspect which is done before
entering in any task and development is something to learning that makes development of the
candidate and training is related to specific field that is conduct on specific job role of the
employees to make them efficient in their field. Netflix will be more profitable by using effective
learning, development and training.

Training is the process that involve various steps and conducted in a systematic manner
to modify the skills and knowledge of the employees that leads to growth of the individual.
There are various steps involved in process of training are follows:
Needs assessment: this is he first step, In which need for the trainee will be analysed and
the requirement of the training will help in getting the challenges of the individuals in the
work places and source of improvement( Rodgers, Yeomans and Halliday, 2016).
Setting Objectives: In this step, trainer have to set the goal for the training that what is to
be achieved in the training.
Designing the training program: In this step, flow of action will be analysed during
training. It will help in easy activities in the organisation.
Implementation: The set objective now implement in the process and start the training
session for the trainee.
Evaluation of the training program: After conducting the training session. It is to be
analysed that the what the employees have learn and what is the effectiveness of it.
Methods of training and development:
Methods of training and development used by the Netflix are follows:
Classroom lecture: It is the best practices to train the employees. Classroom lectures
involved the face to face interaction of the trainee and the trainer and problem can be
solved easily.
Case Study: It is the method in which trainee will be trained with the example related to
the topic so that candidate can analyse the real concept then act upon it.
(C)Evaluate the benefits of learning and development activities to the organisation's competitive
advantage.
Learning and development plays important role in the employee's performance and
motivation of the employees.(Reindl and Krügl, 2017).There are various advantages of training
and development activities in organisation that are explained below:
Increase the productivity: when employees became more efficient in their job by having
required training and development. This will leads the employees to work and give their
best in generating maximum profit in Netflix.

policy and practice, payroll administration and minimum wages in the organisation.
Importance of Extrinsic rewards:
It is the visible reward system given to the employees for their best performance in the
organisation. This help in motivation of the employees and imitating them to achieve the
business goal in the Netflix. Money is very important to every candidate. This is the best method
to motivate the employees.
Importance of Intrinsic reward:
It is the intangible reward system in the organisation. It gives the sense of achievement
and satisfaction in the workplace. For example, if someone did right, according to their
knowledge and skill so this is the Intrinsic, It gives level of satisfaction and It help in personal
development of the employees and leads to do the best in their field.
(B) Explain the concept of performance management and reflect on the performance
management system used in organisation.
Performance management is the tool that help in evaluating the performance of the
individual and monitoring of the employee's activities. The main motive of the Netflix is to
create the positive environment in the organisation by which employees can do their best to

the employees and identify the pros and cons in the business so that employees can contribute
fully in the organisation.
Performance management system used by Netflix:
Performance appraisal: In this method, management do the performance evaluation of
each employees to motivate the employees in the organisation(Harman, 2020).This help
in generating effectiveness of the employees. With the help of performance appraisal,
Netflix can evaluate the HPW in the organisation.
Benchmark: In this method, there is a set criteria for the performance evaluation of the
employees. It will give salary hike to the employees who have more experience in the job
role and this differentiate the employees from one another on the basis of their skills and
knowledge in a specific job role.
Annual performance review: In this method, Organisation will provide the annual
performance of the employees and and evaluate the yearly performance of the staff that
will help in getting the actual performance of the employees.

Reward management is the important aspect of the business and It play vital role in
development of the employees(Gupta and Venkataramani, 2017). It motivates the employees for
better wok performance and initiate the employees to do their best in the work performance in

done by the Human resource management, which evaluate the capabilities of the employees and
how the employees is potential in their job. When the employees are more effective and efficient
in their job. It increase the performance of the individual and for high performance, Candidate
