3HEALTH ORGANIZATION EVALUATION
Discussion of the organization's overall readiness based on your findings
From the research conducted upon Banner Health, it was noted that it offers services to a
large number of population in the United States. The services are wide and varied in nature as
a result of which, it addresses a wide variety of issues in the community. The community
health promotion is one of the most vital elements of the network and thus, mitigate the
challenges faced by the citizen. Beacham et al. (2017) opined that the healthcare system is
rapidly changing as a result of which, the care delivery system and the need for patients are
also evolving. The healthcare landscape of the community irrespective of the size and feature
is changing. The current issues that have been found to affect the operation of the
organization are staffing problem, stunt growth of the network, resource management and
reduced satisfaction level of patients (Popp, 2017). Therefore, a strategic plan needs to be
formulated that will cover the issue and address them.
Preparation a strategic plan to address issues
A strategic plan needs to be established that covers the issues pertaining to growth, lack of
nursing staffs, resource management, and reduce the satisfaction of patients. The stunted
growth of the organization is due to the inability to cope up with the changes in the healthcare
system. The technological development within the entire organizational context such as the
use of the online forum, use of telemedicine and electronic health management system can be
implemented that allow digitalization of the network. This will help in saving time, cost and
the effort of the employees in offering focused and direct services to the population. The
comprehensive nature of these systems will help in reducing the rate of human errors; thus,
improving the level of care quality in the system (Wiegmann & Shappell, 2017). This, in
turn, will help in improving the patient satisfaction level. According to Turkelson et al.
(2017), the resource management in nursing is critical as it allows in the maintenance of
competent nursing staffs for meeting the needs of the patients and the community as a whole.

4HEALTH ORGANIZATION EVALUATION
The aspects that need to be focused for addressing the issue are effective planning,
professional development, recruitment and retention strategies and application of best
practice for establishing a positive culture in the setting.
Identification of current or potential issues within the organization and its
impact on the strategic plan
According to the report, it can be stated that the most prevalent issue faced by Banner Health
is related to patient safety. The issue has a profound impact on staff satisfaction due to lack of
support and empathic factor leading to the outcome of the patient care. The transition of HER
to another system, Cerner lead to various issue related to patient experiences, such as longer
wait time both medications and appointment and delays in scheduling (Kate, 2018). This
directly has an impact on the strategic plan as the current issues faced by the healthcare
setting affected the issues that were covered in the plan. The negative impact has an overall
effect on the reputation of Banner Health, which is operating for 21 years in different areas of
the United States (Flodgren et al., 2019).
Recommendation and its justification
It is evitable that the current issues affect the operation of Banner Health and affects the
healthcare service offered to the population of the country. The recommendations that can be
applied in order to mitigate the issues are:
Prioritizing the healthcare standards and behavior of the healthcare practitioners in
order to enhance the level of care offered to patients
To identify the issue related to Cerner system and mitigate them as soon as possible
for improving the electronic health recording system
In case, Cerner is not the appropriate system, evaluation of a new system and
implementing it is necessary
The aspects that need to be focused for addressing the issue are effective planning,
