The significant life events affect individuals to a great extent due to their social, physical
and psychological impact. According to the given case scenario, Janet was in contact with his
friend, Peter, who stabbed on his face without any reason. This shows both physical and
psychological impact along with the societal changes (Bonanno, 2009). Here, he was in
confusion whether to call police for Peter's act or not. This shows that significant life events has
a direct impact on the normal life of individuals as that person becomes helpless due to
emotional and psychological motives. Furthermore, Janet faced emotional stress and started
living far from Peter to search for a better life. According to the given case scenario, events takes
places in Janet is threatening as he got pain and sorrows from its close one. Owing to this, he has
suffered with high tension and stress in life. Such kind of event affects the life of individual to a

Analyzing the possible group responses to significant life events that occur to one of its members
There are several group responses to significant life events such as life partnership,
family and friends as well as care workers. According to the given case study, Janet got support
from care workers and family as well as from communities (Landau and et.al., 2011). This is
because; situations were transparent and everybody from his family was knowing about the
particular issue. At this juncture, family members and other connected people who knew about
this specific event provided support to him. It has already been provided in the case study that
Janet has some affair for which his friend was jealous, hence that might also be the possible
group response for his significant life event. Apart from this, Janet can get extensive support
from his loved one in order to get rid of such kind of stressful situation. Moreover, friend circle
of Janet may take him on long drive or on long tour where he can have fun and come out of the
situation. This will be helpful for him to get back to the normal life and complete daily routine in
an effectual manner. In addition to this, family responded in a positive manner in handling
difficult situation very easily.

life events
The significant life event of a particular person has a direct impact on all its associated
parties such as families, friend circle and society (King and Hicks, 2009). At this juncture, health
care sector provides good support to individuals by treating them in a well manner and making
them understand way to manage the situation effectively. Furthermore, nursing staff provides
support to Janet to forget the incident and at the same time, his family members were also
informed to take care of him. In this manner, health and social care members provide their
extensive support to sufferers and other related people (Luhmann and et.al., 2012). For example,
staff members of care home also get affected due to the action or significant life event of
individual. They try their best to provide the right solution and fix issues which are being faced
by the individual. Moreover, emotional staff members have to be strong enough in order handle
the problems of ts patients by seeing such kind of situation of patients like Janet. Apart from this,
they need to devote extra time to treat the patient and take him out of the significant life event.

and their social networks affected by significant life events
In the case scenario of Janet who handles their relationship apart from suffering from all
the violence created by Peter for little hope lies in the relationship. There are various events takes

currently facing lots of issues which directly created larger impact on their mind in order to live

events takes places with them with the support of their family and friends who created the
situations of joy and pleasure in order to forget their pasts. The bad and horror memories of past
of Janet will increases fear in their life in order to live freely in the whole society. The

order to affect her. The physical attacks and the leniency applied by the Janet in order to protect

faced by all those individuals due to the significant events takes places in their lives. Care
workers can be appointed by the family members in order to take care an individuals who have

There are various ways and the external forces which also plays a significant role in improving
the overall life of a person which is given as below:
ď‚· Counseling- Appointed counselors will heal the inner pain of a person by bring out their
self-respect in order to fight the tough situations in order to live their free life. This life of
an individual will help a person in order to rectify their current situations. The images of
past of a person will be brigs out that help person in order to start their new life by
forgetting about their past.

doesn’t relocate from one place to another. The home facility is also available by these
private agencies that provide services to them. Apart from admitting deaf people in this

various diseases are also admitted in this institute. Blind people are welcomed in
accordance with the national royal blind institute where blind people are cared in order
taught the toughest lessons of the life to live their life at their own pace.
D) Analyze possible organizational responses to the need to support individuals experiencing a
significant life event
Expectations of the societies from a normal individual are higher in comparison to the
people who are facing some disability or experiencing significant life events. The current
discrimination created by the society members need to be improved as this leads towards the
deterioration of the lives of all individuals like Janet (Calvo and et.al., 2016). A person required
special attention or extra mental care doesn’t reflect its inability in comparison with the normal
person as this is due to the struggles and harsh situations faced by them in their lives. The
perspectives of the whole society needs to be changed as this will change the overall scenario of
the current environment where all these people get equal chance of opportunity in order to prove
themselves. The role of the whole society has increases as eradicating personal discrimination
will help all individuals to get rid of all the sorrows of their life.
Special efforts applied by normal society members in opening personal care clubs for all
those people suffering from domestic violence, marital rape and bad relationships will
communicate with the authority. These authorities will help them in order to take legal action
against the accused person.
Furthermore, GIBBS reflective cycle can also be adopted under which at first description
under which situation is explained that what individual is facing and why that particular issue is
being faced in care home. Here, example of situation under which a person lost her partner can
be taken. Here, nursing staff can get to know about the situation and accordingly understand the
feelings and thinking of sufferer. This proves to be effective evaluate the situation regarding the
positive and negative outcome or experience of the same. However, analysis is done in term of
solution. At this juncture, nursing staff can motivate sufferer to be stronger and handle the

situation effective so as to support other family member. At the same time, emotion appeal can
be added in order to settle down the feelings of individual. Apart from this, conclusion should
draw on the basis of alternative solution. Moreover, action plan can be made for the sake of
future condition related to the present one. It proves to be effective to handle a specific or
significant life event. In this manner, GIBBS reflective cycle is the most effective method to
manage the life of individual in an effectual manner.
E) Make recommendations for improving the support available in a health and social care
organization for individuals and their social networks when affected by significant life
events
It can be recommended that social care home should be developed to provide
accommodation facilities to all the people suffering from domestic violence. In this care homes
all patients are treated as normal person who live their life at their own freedom and pace.
Education and employment is also provided in the same place to enhance their skills in order to
live independent life (Spitze and Trent, 2016). The current place developed by the non-
governmental association will help an individual in order to live their life. The recognition will
also be provided to them to have social status in the whole society who lives life among all
individuals who are facing the same problem to feel comfortable in the whole scenario.
The health of an individual is regarded as important element which helps an individual in
living their life freely. The health and social care needs of individuals will be fulfilled by
providing medication in improving their health. Vaccines will be given to all of them in order to
boost their immunity to fight against severe diseases.

in order to treat them to improve their health. Physical injuries will be rectified by giving
medicines but mental pain will be improved by talking with them. By having contribution
of such values the issues can be overcome effectively.
ď‚· Action- Grievance system has implemented in which all individuals who are facing
problem will tell their story in order to form associations to fight against the crime. The
legal advice will be taken from the lawyers in order to take legal action against the
culprits. Being care worker of I ensured to support the sufferers by making them
understand related to specific situation. At the same time. Thus, I supported doctors and
other related participants to accomplish their task effectively. However, I supported all
family members to sufferers to bear the pain and make them understand in moving
forward in the life.
