INTRODUCTION
Event legacy is a general idea that an event can have a long term positive impact upon the host
area in both physically and economically (Allen, 2021). The Santos Tour Down Under is the
largest cycling festival and the biggest cycling race in the South Australia. It is an 11-day event
in which professional cycling teams race on the streets of Adelaide and South Australia. This
presentation will discuss the impact and event benefits capitalization through event life cycle
of Santos town down Adelaide.

From the discussion from presentation, It can be concluded that Santos Tour Down Under is the biggest
event in South Australia which runs for 11 days in southern hemisphere of Australia. The event is a great
opportunity for Australia to generate cash flow, enhance tourism and development of the country.
However, the negative elements of country can portray negative image of the country on world stage
through media channels. The event can help the government to capitalize the benefits generate through
event in development of infrastructure and employment generation.
