From last two decades, Tourism events industry has become an upcoming industry for making
career. The higher education institutes have found that tourism event management is an emerging
global industry in future time. Tourism industry is having much attention for career
development. There are three way to make career as a student in this industry, which are
engagement of student through different ways, sharing real-life scenario in the classroom-based
theoretical concepts (Ziakas, 2013).
An event planner is first required things of tourism industry, which is helpful for business
development. First thing is that, ‘tourism event management’ institutes are providing different
opportunities to the students by using the structured programmes. Second advantage of these
courses is direct sharing of real-life experiences of experts of this field in the classroom. Third
thing understands about the event planning by real experiences.
Goal of Event planner
Few important goals of an event planner are schedule all events within time limits, identification
of customer’s need, customer satisfaction, managing different facilities for a client, such as,
promotional material, decor, required equipment, catering, and location of event, entertainment,
special guest invitation list, and transportation.
It is a course for contact between event industry and students through the classroom-based
learning.
