TITLE
• To conduct the research in order to develop the knowledge of
evidence based practices for the prevention of neglect and
abuse in health and social care settings by aid of particular
effective strategies of safeguarding.

BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE
• By this literature review it has been analysed that people are
facing various issues in health care services, such as they are
facing the harassment, discrimination, neglect and abuse in
health and social care settings. But there are the various
legislation and code of the conduct for health care services and
practices which should be follow by healthcare practitioner in
order to protect them from the neglect and abuse

AIM
• To understand the neglect and abuse in health and social care,
along with the analysis of its effects on individuals. Conduct
the research for development and understanding of the
safeguarding evidence-based practices and strategies

Objectives
• To understand the role of evidence based practices in health
care sector
• To conduct the quantitative and qualitative research
understanding legislation of health care practices
• To develop the knowledge of evidence-based practices in
context to the patient safeguarding

RESEARCH QUESTION
• What is the evidence-based practices in healthcare sector
• What are the rules and legislation of health care practices

practitioner in order to perform user protection activities.

METHODS
• In this report done quantitative and qualitative research is done
by the the aid of different database analysis such as the global
health, nursing and academic edition and Cochrane database.
Along with the online database some other tools should be use
is this research and that is (GRADE) guidelines and PRISMA
guidelines in order to conduct the inclusion and exclusion of
the information form research.

ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS
• In this report ethical consideration is that project should be
done with the support of all necessary data but it should make
sure the confidentiality of the individual personal data. So
there is the aim to complete whole project without braking
ethics of the research.

VIABILITY:
• Aims and objectives of this research proposal is relevant and
achievable because “it is about developing the understanding
in context to the patient safeguarding practices, so that it can
be implement in the healthcare practices for people
safeguarding” and there is the huge data or information
present in the healthcare databases

PROPOSED OUTCOMES
• This research success will definitely benefit the service users,
practitioner and organisation, as its purpose is to develop the
knowledge and implement it for users safeguarding, so its
directly related to the practitioner skills development and
improvement and then it benefit the users in terms safe
healthcare services
• For organisation it is beneficial in terms of organisation
growth, positive value, achievement of the skilled staff.

PERFORMANCE REVIEW
• From this research review, performance of team, concern for
the users improved and developed. This literature review
improved the learning skills of the team along with this it
developed the interest for learning and research. Through this
most of the practices performance is improved due to the
developing knowledge in context to the evidence-based
services and code of the conduct

PROCESS OF THE LITERATURE REVIEW AND
CHALLENGES
From this literature review various methods have used to gather
the relevant information and as a outcome, different gaps of the
healthcare practices along with the strength of the practices is
analysed. Importance of the legislation and code of the conduct is
analysed. Major issues was faced related to the irrelevant
information. long process of the quality analysis and screening
was difficult but, it was solved with the implementation of
effective literature review skills and guidelines models such as
the PRISMA and GRADE.

EVALUATE YOUR SKILLS
• From this literature review I have analysed that there are the
various skills which I need to develop and improve. It has
been analysed that practitioner practices are the important
element of health care organisation which is responsible for
the cure and control of patient problem along with the
assurance of their safety. Strength is empathy and passion to
provide care and weakness is that we need to develop some
legislative and evidence-based practices information.
