Evidence-Based Practice Proposal in Harris Health System
The Organizational Culture and Readiness; a Wide Integration Of Evidence-Based
Practice Survey is a research which finds out the factors which impact the implementation
evidence-based practices in regards to transformation and the difference in the perspective of the
nurses (Wilson, et al., 2015).
In regards to the results, the barriers of EBP involves factors such as institutional
features, the individual nurse characters and the information researched (Stevens, 2001).
Concerning the researched information, the nurse does not have the required skills to do their
research. However, the organizational barriers encompass the insufficient time to salvage
information (Wilson, et al., 2015) Also lack managerial commitment and information technology
leads to different objectives and goals in the practice. Furthermore, there exist individual barriers
which lead to insufficient information, for instance, the nurse may not have basic computer
skills.
However, concerning EBP facilitators, it is important to have some characteristics which
they need in order to have a positive effect on the project knowledge (Stevens, 2001). The
outcomes on the clinical inquiry were grounded on barriers of changes on EBP and the
implementation of EBP. These obstacles include insufficient time, shortage in staff and
suppliers. However, there was no major difference between staff, managers of nurses (Wilson, et
al., 2015). Implementation of EBP resulted due to personal interests and effort to avoid
consequences on patients.
The regulatory agency was given the lowest rank, however, the nurses supported the
clinical inquiry making it important to embrace changes (Stevens, 2001). On the other side, the

managers of nurses could not account the limitation of evidence-based practice. For instances
where nurses were partially employed, they did not come to an agreement on implementation of
EBP and indicated that it did not assist on issues of patient decisions.
