Introduction
Evidence based practice is the explicit, conscientious and judicious use of the available and best
practices in decision making for patients. It is the best combination of the external evidences
collected from the systematic research and the individual expertise clinical expertise of the health
care. Evidence based practices means to apply the best available evidences from the research to
achieve effectiveness in the decision making at health and social care. However, there is also
significant use of the skills, experience and training to achieve the effective outcomes with
alignment to the patient’s values and situations. However, there is also consideration of the social
support, financial constraints and practice contexts on the decisions which is also defined as the
clinical reasoning. Therefore, the above four elements defines the context of the evidence based
practices.

It helps to understand the possible approach of the care to ward patients. It is significant to
improve the health through improvements in the patient outcome. It ensures professional services
and reduces the erroneous and assumption based practices. It helps to make most effective use of

the available evidences to guide the practices and to lead the quality care. It helps to understand
the financial and patient value related constraints during the care. In health and social care, the
consideration of the evidence based practices helps to focus on the four elements: finance,
patient values, clinical expertise and information available from the research sources. Therefore,
it has significance to achieve quality care to the patients with proper standardization and
professionalism of the practices on the outcomes of the evidences.

According to Moss (2017), communication skill positively impacts the outcome of the service
users through development of the working relationship and sharing of the information clearly.
According to the author, it also influences for the collaborative working and data sharing and
provides emotional supports with the co-workers.
However, the communication can take several forms: verbal, non-verbal and other forms of the
communication such as expressions and body language. It also impacts the efficiency of the
practices at workplace.
According to Ham et al. (2012), digital communication is impacting the performance and quality
because it is significant to prevent the delays and erroneous practices.
Also, communication helps to engage the health care professionals in evidence based practices
and so that the outcomes are more aligned to the patient requirements and expectations.
According to Watson et al. (2012), communication also influence the service users for the
outcome as they can effectively establish the emotional relationship with patients and can share
the values easily to support faster and quality delivery.

are good enough to guide but they cannot be used as standard approach to share the information.
