Report
AI Summary
This report focuses on the importance of evidence-based nursing research, highlighting its role in improving patient outcomes and healthcare practices. It discusses how nursing leaders can promote research within their teams and align research with translational studies, such as in the area of thrombosis and hemostasis. The report emphasizes the significance of using research findings to develop new knowledge and improve existing treatment plans. It also provides a detailed explanation of translational research, which involves applying scientific findings from clinical trials to address current medical needs. The report concludes by emphasizing the need for reanalysis of diseases and dosages as research scales up from a trial group to a broader population.

Nursing leaders can expand nursing research. Through research, the health status of a
population is improved . The findings of various studies result in implementation of new
treatment options or improvement the existing treatment plans. Nursing leaders can encourage
their subordinate nurses to engage in research. This will help to improve the current practices at
the organization it will also help improve the patient outcomes
Nursing leaders can align the relevant evidence based projects with translational research.
Stephens et al. (2019), define translation research as the practice of using basic scientific
knowledge and findings from clinical trials to address the current medical needs. Translational
research is aimed at improving the health outcomes. A group of nurses often work together to
translate the information that is found in laboratories and in the clinician’s notes
An example of using evidence to generate new knowledge is in researching about an
existing illness, such as thrombosis and hemostasis. Currently several experiments have been
done to analyze the impact of thrombosis to hemostasis. However, during the experimental
stages of the diseases, the clinical manifestation of the induced thrombosis and hemostasis may
be different from naturally occurring inducement. When the experiment scales up from a trail
group during research to actual population, there is need for reanalysis of the diseases potency
and an alteration on the dosage of the available drugs in the market. Using the evidence obtained
during the initial research, translational research can be done to develop new knowledge on the
virulence of the disease (Ruf, 2019).
