A staff management plan for EWS:
A staff management plan is an essential aspect of the Human Resource Plan. After
employing individuals for a particular project, it is necessary to create a proper project
management plan. The staffing plan in project management includes the following steps:
1. Planning of the acquisition of the staffs
2. Maintaining a resource calendar
3. Releasing a staff release plan
4. Realising the need for training of the crews
5. Ensuring the safety of the teams
In the case of the project management plan of Ecological Wastewater Solution, it is
essential to have an adequate staff management plan to manage the role of each of the
teams responsible for their respective duties. The current operation of EWS has about 250
full-time staff members. To plan effective staffing, it is essential that the factors like the
motivation of the staffs and satisfaction should be kept in mind. For ensuring staff
motivation, planning should be done to engage the employees in weekly or monthly
review sessions where their reviews would be reflected, setting realistic goals for
individual staffs of the project, finding ways to foster strong relationship between the

should also be identified. As the whole project of the EWS deals with delivering eco-
friendly system for wastewater management, it needs special training and assistance for
the staffs who are working under this project (Lock, 2017). The teams should be trained

of the employees should also be incorporated with the staff management plan by taking
regular feedbacks from the employees.

A communication management plan for EWS:
Every project management plan needs a structured and effective communication
management plan. The program consists of three parts namely the senders, receivers and the
message. The beginning of the communication management plan for the project of EWS
should start while identifying the major stakeholders of the project and the communication
that is required for each of them (Heide & Simonsson, 2014). The external stakeholders of
the plan of EWS include the existing and potential customers, suppliers and investors. An
open communication channel should be established between the project manager and the
stakeholders so that the stakeholders can inform the project manager about any potential risks
or changes that need to be done concerning EWS project (Heagney, 2016). A communication
management plan in a project includes specific reports that all stakeholders need to be aware
of. These reports include- Status report, progress report, forecasting report, trend report,
earned value report, variance report and lastly the lessons learned report. Beside all these
activities, the project manager of the EWS project should also ensure effective
communication with the staffs and suppliers regularly by taking feedbacks from them.
