INTRODUCTION
Leadership is the act of influencing people or group of the people to work towards attaining
common goals of an organisation. Brexit is an abbreviation of two English words that are Britain
and exist (Cini, Verdun and Martill B, 2018). The UK government plays an important role in
overcoming the impact of Brexit on business performance.
Aim
To determine the impact of UK Government’s leadership on Brexit.
Objectives
To evaluate the distinction between political leadership and business leadership.
To examine the roles played by successive government leadership through the Brexit
process.
To determine the leadership style that could deliver a major government or business
policy.
Research Questions:
What is the distinction between political leadership and business leadership?
What are the roles played by successive government leadership through the Brexit
process?
Which appropriate leadership style could deliver a major government or business policy?
Methodology
Within this research qualitative method will be used for collecting secondary information from
books, journals, articles and many others sources. Inductive approach will be applied for
evaluating qualitative information. In order to evaluate qualitative secondary information,
thematic analysis will be followed by an investigator (Fahy and et. al., 2019).
Literature review
To evaluate the distinction between political leadership and business leadership.
According to Connolly, James and Fertig, (2019), political leadership is defined as a concept of
understanding political outcomes and processes which helps in attaining future growth. Whereas
business leadership is defined as the capacity of a management of the company to set and
achieve effective and challenging goals of the company. The political leader always focusses on

aligning with the popular opinions of public while business leader always focusses on aligning
with the proven values and principles even when it does not match with the public sentiments.
Business leaders are good at creating effective budgets and in making difficult decisions that can
affect the efficiency and profitability while political leader are more interested in power, position
and decision making authority to fulfil selfish reasons.
To examine the roles played by successive government leadership through the Brexit
process.
According to McConnell and Tormey, (2020), successive government leadership plays a
significant role in attaining the market situations into normal in the process of Brexit. The leaders
decided to focus more on spending time with customers so that they get to know their current
expectations and needs in the market. The government leader also focuses on promoting staff
members in the company so that work with more coordination and cooperation in a team.
To determine the leadership style that could deliver a major government or business policy.
According to Sony, Antony and Douglas, (2020), democratic leadership style is the best suited
style that helps in making all the members of the team to participate in the decision making
process for better growth and growth and productivity in the competitive market.
Research limitations
There are certain limitations of the current research such as time, cost, resources and many
others. All these are main limitations and will be an impact on a researcher while completing full
research in an effective manner (Van Kerckhoven, 2021).
Significance limitations of the research
Within this research, Gantt chart will be applied for overcoming the impact of time.
Secondary sources will be used that are effective in overcoming the impact of cost and resources.
