INTRODUCTION
The above mentioned report reflects the impact of COVID-19 and also shows how the
global economy is adversely effected by this pandemic. The noble coronavirus has affected
business functioning and profitability (Bentenuto and et.al., 2021). Pandemic was so uncertain
and it gave rise to the situations like lock-down, restrictions and ban on import and export
practices and much more. The COVID-19 not only had bad influence on the life of people but it
also affected the sale, production, inputs etc. of an economy in a negative manner. In this report
the measures of central tendency and other functions of MS Excel like SUM, COUNT,
MAXIMUM and MINIMUM are used for the analysation of the data in terms of vaccination and
infection rate. The data is gathered for 2021 to provide the useful interpretation.

infection in millions of people and it has left the economy in a stand-still position. Tight
restrictions were imposed by the government of various nations to avoid the impact of covid-19
(Farnell, Skledar Matijevic and Šcukanec Schmidt, 2021). But in spite of doing so the economy
in terms of per capita income, gross domestic product, production scale, profitability etc. The
impact of COVID – 19 for the two rates, infection rate and domestic rate is discussed in this
report with their economic reports.

Analysis and findings-
The effect of covid-19 was the unpleasant experience that the people had to face. The effect of
coronavirus has led to the loss of people lives, loss in the various industries like tourism industry,
hospitality industry, entertainment industries etc. During the covid-19 the prices for fuel were on
peak. In different nations the retail sector was the one which was most effected due to the
restrictions on the trade practices imposed by the government of different countries. To know
and understand the infectious rate and total vaccination rate of different countries is taken into
consideration and the analysation of the same is listed in below points.
Explication of data-
SUM- It is the tool which is used to add the set of data in the excel sheet. It helps in
solving the tough problems in a easy way. It assists in examining, segregating and sorting the
given data. In this data the sum function provides the addition of the data with respect to the total
vaccination rate and infectious rate. The figure calculated for them was 3161697555.00 and
203285457.00 sequentially.
MEAN- This is the another statistical mechanism used in MS Excel which is required to
find the average value from the given data set. There are two parts of statistics i.e. the descriptive
and inferential statistics. The descriptive statistics aids in finding that particular figure that
represents the whole sample. The formulation of a mean is the sum of all the numbers divided by
the total number of observations. The average value calculated for the above prepared data set
respective to vaccination rate and infectious rate is 39212194.38 and 25410682.13 respectively.
This value represents the whole data.
MEDIAN- This mechanism helps in evaluating the mid value from the given set of data,
and that calculated value is the representation of all the numbers in the data. The mid-value is
evaluated in a different manner for both the even and odd examination. From the above data
preparation the median for the two topics is interpreted as- 146989594.00 for total vaccination
rates and 22137645.50 for total infectious rates.
MINIMUM- It is helpful in the computation of the lowest number in the series of
arguments. This function comes up with the smallest figure from the selected range of series.
The infectious rate for the United Kingdom with comparison to other countries has the lowest

count value. The minimum value for the total vaccination done in UK is obtained at 790396.00
for the year 2021. Coming to the analysation for infection rate it is 177015.00. It is the least in

to the data of other nations. It also stated that the government is really concerned about the well-
being of society and has taken many preventive measures to keep its country people safe in terms
of everything that is health, food, profitability etc.
MAXIMUM- This trick in MS- excel helps in achieving the highest figure from the
listed number of arguments in the data provided above. The above mentioned information
provides the valuable insights on the infectious rate and vaccination rate of the seven territories.
The United states of America has the highest count for the infected people in the year 2021. And
as per the interpretation it can be presumed that the Austria has highest number of cases
concerning to the total vaccination rates. Austria is the step ahead among the seven territories to
bring the effectiveness and efficiency in the economy. As per the observation, Austria is
managing its economy in a positive way as the condition of economy can be improved by
vaccinating more people.
Furthermore, there is no mode for the given data when two factors of infectious rates and
total vaccination rates are considered.
CONCLUSION
As per the data collected from the site of WHO and the analysation done on the ground of
that data it can be stated that the noble coronavirus had affected the countries across the globe in
a very negative manner. There is a drastic hit to the businesses in an adverse manner. The covid-
19 pandemic has not only affected the health of people but it has impacted the economy's
functioning in long-run and as a result the decline in the economy of different globes has been
noticed.
