Balanced scorecard is a system used for strategic planning and management in
organization. It is mainly used to communicate the goals, align the day to day work, prioritizing
projects, products and services and measure and monitor progress towards strategic target
(Melnyk et al. 2014). Forecasting current and future staffing needs in relation to organization’s
strategic business objective along with the supply of labor is called workforce demand and
supply. In this report the two concepts will be discussed considering the case study of Execu
clean company.

b) Workforce demand and supply
Execu Clean is an organization that provides services on laundry, including installation of
machine, equipment, washing and cleaning activities, storage of not yet cleaned and cleaned
garments and lastly a workplace for garment alteration. Workforce demand and supply is
predicting current and future needs in relation to organization’s strategic business objective along
with the supply of labor (Mina, Lahr and Hughes 2013). Execu Clean’s workforce and demand
supply will include smooth functioning of pick-up and delivery. The company mostly operates
with the working customers. There will be a need for more transportation in the organization that
would be able to supply its service to the customer. It provides service to industries and private
customers. Appropriate high functioning internet access is also essential as orders are booked
through email and phone calls. There would be absolute necessity of new equipment.
