Characteristics of Exemplary Business Communication
Business success is dependent on the successful communication. The communication can be
verbal or non-verbal. Good communication is vital to establish a good relation; effective selling;
problem solving; negotiation and presentation delivery of manager and sales person (Habibi,
Laroche & Richard, 2014). The characteristics which every successful business possess are: ability
to learn from others; willingness to practice communication skills; proactive participation; staying
focused and listening rather than hearing. Good communication skills are considered as an asset to
the business which each and every leader, salesperson or manger should look forward to (Terry &
Osborne, 2015).
According to Moshiri and Cardon (2014), external communication is that part of the
communication which leaves the office premises as in this type communication is done mainly with
the customers. So, the external communication should be given importance as with the help of this
communication customers are made aware of the product and services provided by the company.
The end users can be customers, partners, vendors and prospects. This is important for the growth
of the business in the market. The external communication should be given importance as it is the
only way to communicate with the users of the product or service. If proper channels are not used
by the company there will be decrease in the sale figure which will affect the organization to a large
extent.
For example: Suppose a company is providing services which is beneficial for the
customers or end users. If proper communication through proper channel is not done then the
consumers won’t be aware of the services to prevail in the market which will decrease the sale of
service in the market. So, to sale their services to the consumers’ proper and effective
communication channel should be used and adopted by the organization to sustain in the market
and earn profit in the long-run.

market will be in danger. The proposal provides a clear idea regarding culture, demographics as
well as who are the potential competitors.
In the post the author, also pointed out that the business proposal should be clear and brief
in nature. The main focus should be given to the executive summary as that helps to get the
overview of the proposal (Van Belle & Dawson, 2013). The executive summary also helps in the
decision making process and guide them in a positive direction (Hair Jr. et al., 2015). This can only
be happen if the executive summary is well structured. The author also mention the four question
that need to be address properly in a proposal regarding the sale of the product or service. The four
question help to provide a clear idea regarding the sales strategy.
All the plausible characteristics have been identify correctly and concisely, there is no
missing component which is required to be addressed. The examples helps to understand the theory
