Ideal Characteristic of specific Business Communication
The business organizations use different kinds of communication to communicate with
the employees or the customers. Interpersonal communication forms a part of the different
business communication methods (Gallois & Giles 2015). In general terms interpersonal
communication can be termed as one way or two ways. One way communication occurs at the
time when the sender transmits information in the form of direction without any feedback or
expectation. Some of the basic characteristics of the interpersonal communication include;
a. Controlling the communication that is used to direct others and gain the compliance
b. Egalitarian style is a two way communication process involving share of information
rather than directing one’s behavior
c. Structuring the communication method
d. Dynamic style of communication that can be helpful in the times of crisis
Justification for the chosen characteristics
The different characteristics of the interpersonal communication are highly justified as
because each of the characteristics is involved in the formation of a proper and effective
communication method.
a. Controlling- Most of the managers impose the controlling style where they do not want
any feedback but rather wants the task to be executed accordingly (Hargie, 2016).
b. Egalitarian- The egalitarian style is needed to ensure two way communication and
ensuring effectiveness.

to motivate the employees and make them productive in nature. The best use of the
communication is done during crisis situations.
Examples
The interpersonal communication skills can be executed and is mostly executed at
different places including the workplace in order to increase the productivity and efficiency of
the employees and make them more responsible towards the organization.
