AI Summary
This essay critically examines the influence of long-term experience on problem-solving abilities, exploring how it can both enhance and impede cognitive processes. It discusses the distinction between visual short-term memory and other cognitive functions, as well as cognitive factors affecting car accidents. The essay also considers the strengths and weaknesses of computational models in explaining human cognition and evaluates lesion studies as evidence for distinct cognitive processes. Furthermore, it outlines and assesses the effectiveness of cognitive training programs in improving executive functions, concluding with a discussion on leveraging cognitive processes for stronger memory and problem-solving skills. INTRODUCTION
Cognitive psychology refers to the study of the mind and how we think. Learning is an
example of cognition. The way our brain makes connection as we learn concepts in different
ways to remember what we have learned. 3. Our ability to reason through logic is a prime
example of cognition.
This report will cover the essay on the long term experience and our problem solving
ability and how we can overcome from this all. This report will provide the difference between
the visual short term memory and cognitive process. It will also consider the strength and
weakness of the computation models for explain the human Cognitive process.
MAIN BODY
1. Critically evaluation of the evidence that visual short-term memory is distinct from other
cognitive processes.
The visual short term memory is a memory system which the brain of the human stores
the visual information for the few seconds and this can be used in the services of the ongoing
cognitive tasks while the cognitive process refers to the aquaring the new knowledge and
comprehension. This process includes the thinking , remembers etc. and the memory will be
remained for the long time. But the visual short memory will be for the some time and it cannot
be more than the 1 day or less than that (Clark and et.al. (2019). People can use the cogitative
process to remember anything for the years, and they can do the task according to their many
and imagine the memory about what happened that day and what thing happened with them.
For example when we stuck in the traffic and we can can see many cars but hardy we remember
any of the car so we can call this Visual Short term memory but when we go for any trip or
the holidays then we try to remember everything, and we care a memory for the long period
2. Discussion on the cognitive factors which may increase/decrease the likelihood that an
individual will be in a car accident.
Cognitive factors during the car accident can increase and decrease both in the case
because during the car accident we remember the incident, and we never forget what
happened with us during the accident but most of the people odes not remember because they
got the high damage on their mind which erase the memory but there are some chances
that the memory of the person came again and he may renumber everything happened with

him during the accident. This can be shocking for the person to remember the accident and
this memory can be with him for the years.
3. critically consideration of the strengths and weaknesses of computational models for
explaining human cognitive processes.
Computational cognitive models are computational models used in the field of cognitive
science. Models in cognitive science can be generally categorized into computational,
mathematical or verbal-conceptual models (Dahl, Lutz & Davidson (2016). At present,
computational modeling appears to be the most promising approach in many respects and offers
more flexibility and expressive power than other approaches.
As we know that the we can store the things in the computer but when computer
damage and some of the file delete then it will be disrepair for the lifetime same like human
mind work and if anything happened with the human memory then they cannot recover. But
they can stores the remember in the mind. This shows the straight and weakness
4. Critically discussion about the long-term experience can impede our problem-solving
abilities, and how we can overcome this.
Long term experience can have the huge impact on our life and we can use it to solve
the problem. If we are doing anything from the long time then it become our habit, and we
become the expert in that particular task (Wiech (2016). For example -if we are driving a car
from the long time then soon it becomes our habit, and we always remember how to drive the
car and what are the features of that particular car. This become the problem solving ability,
and we can also teach other that how to drive a car and what function work in the car.
5. critically discussion on the claim that lesion studies are the strongest source of evidence for
distinct cognitive processes.
Lesion studies are the best sources of the cognitive process because when we any kind
of incident happened in our life then we make the memory that them, and we always remember
the lesion we have learned from that This memory can stay with us for the years, and we can
always remember. Many people remember the lesion till they die and this make them alert,
and they can also share their experience to the other and tell them the what expect happened
with them (Gregg, & Steinberg (Eds.). (2016).

6. Outline and evaluate the evidence for whether cognitive training programmes can improve
executive functions.
There are many cognitive training programmers which can help people to develop the
good memory and they can make their memory strong as compere to t he other and This will be
beneficial for the person to achieve the success in their life, and they can remember everything
for the long period of the time (Kucyi and et.al. (2018). This programs are available on the
online and the assistance of this program provide the several tasks which makes our memory
better and strong, so we can remember everything with the help of the fun task.
CONCLSION
AS per the report has been cover the essay on the long term experience and our
problem solving ability and how we can overcome from this all. This report has been provided
the difference between the visual short term memory and cognitive process. It also has been
consider the strength and weakness of the computation models for explain the human
congestive process. All the discussion has been about the importance of the Cognitive process to
remember the memoirs ad make the memory strong for the person.
