Atlanta Addiction Recovery Centre Georgia
The agency I would like to work for is Atlanta Addiction Recovery Centre located in
Georgia. The Agency is one of the prime agencies in the city that helps towards the rehabilitation
of a large number of people from Georgia and elsewhere. Working for the agency will help to
understand how people suffering from addiction of various substances can be cured and returned
back to normal life. The Agency is engaged in offering outpatient and residential treatment to the
people suffering from severe addiction. I want to explore such an organization and help people to
return back to their normal lives after they have been critically affected by their addiction.
Apart from this agency I also considered the DCFACS agency. It is the Defense Finance
and Accounting Service engaged in overseeing the payments to the members, employees,
vendors and other people engaged with the defense department. It is an organization that takes
part in financial activities and business intelligence concerning the department of defense. I did
not select this agency as there as I was not very interested in a thoroughly financial job role. It
was more like a back office function with very less scope of engagement with the people or
society. Moreover, the employment at the Addiction recovery center according to me will be
more socially productive.
I wanted to contribute to the society in significant ways. Catering to the needs of people
suffering from severe consequences due to addiction is a good way I can contribute to social
development. Helping the people get back to their normal lives after life threatening addiction
situation will be a very rejuvenating factor in my career (Laudet & Best, 2015). Moreover, as a
career option this is a great opportunity as this will contribute greatly to my overall career record.
There is ample scope to learn and develop as a person and also as a technically knowledgeable

worker. This is an opportunity that at the same time provides challenges, opportunities, social
productiveness and career growth.
The Atlanta Addiction Recovery center is engaged in providing integrated,
compassionate and effective addiction treatment. The agency operates in an outpatient setting
and offers the same benefits as residential addiction treatment at affordable costs. Along with
addiction treatment the agency also offers treatment for the co-occurring complexities such as
trauma, bad mental health, anxiety and other issues (Addiction Treatment Experts | Atlanta
Addiction Recovery Center 2019). The types of treatment available are medication assisted
treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and continued care. Family program, detox
program, trauma therapy, day treatment are some of the essential programs.
The center has people working for them such as addiction psychiatrist, clinical director,
nurse, lead therapist, recovery coaches, area recovery representatives, admission director,
supervisors and recovery help personnel. The professionals working for the agency are experts
and highly experienced in the field of addiction recovery. The organization being one of the
premier organizations in the field have gathered an efficient and successful group of people for
providing support to the admitted patients (Addiction Treatment Experts | Atlanta Addiction
Recovery Center 2019). Additionally, there are experienced staff that can effectively guide the
newer employees towards developing their work functions.
