This research essay will be an understanding of the Islamic practices pertaining to the
traditions of Prophet Muhammad and his beliefs in the religion. The study will depict various
theories and practices in Islam that are read and carried out in a particular way known as Sunnah
and Hadith, that have relevant importance in the religion worldwide.
1. The idea behind Hadith accounts beginning:
After the death of Prophet Muhammad in the 8th and 9th century, the formation of Hadith
began for which several writings in oral were gathered and collected. The main purpose is to
path a way for all the authenticated values and beliefs set according to the messengers of Allah
for the people through Prophet Muhammad (Kalbuana. and et.al., 2021). These consist of a
major source of all the religious law and moral guidance so that people can learn and practice all
the religious beliefs in order to benefit form them even in the modern era. Therefore, to highlight
the sacrifices of significant people in the wars to save and secure the real traditions of Islam, the
writings of Hadith began. People in that time were great followers of the religion, but there was
even the presence of evil atmosphere around such prestigious traditions. In order to make it
possible the reach of accurate knowledge among people, Hadith are important.
It is said that the emergence of Hadith marked the death of Prophet Muhammad who was
the real beginner of Islam and because of whom the traditions of Islam are still prevailing in the
people. Some people even started predicting to be the followers of the religion with the motive of
eradicating the real preachings and teachings of Islam so that the existence of humanity and
peace can not be spread. In the midst of such situations, there were people who consistently tried
to acquire knowledge about Islam which gave the rise to the collection and writings of Hadith so
that there cannot be any misconceptions about Prophet Muhammad and his findings. The
creation of Hadith was also necessary to renown the accomplishments of the Prophet in securing
the religion from people who tried to destroy it. For this the holy book of Qur'an was also used,
but it was not enough to interpret Prophet's words, so this resulted in the wide usage of Hadith
across the religions.
2. The role Hadith accounts played in the facilitation of the Islamic tradition and its importance:
Hadith played and still plays a major role in the facilitation and formation of Islamic
traditions by the way of determining importance of Qur'an and other books of the religion.
Determining the words, actions, and approval of Allah in the matters, as to state what are the fair
and righteous paths to follow in order to abide by the Islamic obligations. The Hadith account

often gave an idea about explanation of the divine revelations that took place in the presence of
the Prophet and his rightful companions and also provides the base for each and every revelation.
According to the basis of Islamic laws also known as Sharia, which states how to rightfully
carry out the practices mentioned in the Hadith, there are directions given about everything
starting from birth process to the death one.
The books have mentioned each and every measure to rectify the errors made by people
in a precise manner, so that there can be an exact way to free the slaves from the Hell. This is
because anyone who makes mistakes and is bound to make mistakes can be made conscious
enough, so that he doesn't repeat the same mistake more than one time (Koehrsen. 2021). There
have been noticed many criticisms by some people claiming the irrelevancy of the Hadith
accounts, but the writings of the Prophet and his life journey are the proof of authenticity. The
writings were either listened or experienced by the people of that times, but there was no
evidence of these. This makes the Hadith accounts of the significant nature because these are the
written and concise evidence that these are relevant and valid, written by the people from those
ancient times.
3. The difference between Hadith and Sunnah, and determining who came first:
Both the term Hadith and Sunnah relates to the traditions and practices of Islamic religion
and this is why most percentage misunderstand the two terms. Everything about the terms have
been stated in the Qur'an and also how to differentiate between them is also included
(Abdullaieva. and et.al., 2021). It should be kept in mind that assigning similar meanings to them
can create confusion about the undertaking of both the terms and their distinct features cannot be
featured properly.
1. Sunnah is an authentic way of practising something that is mentioned in the Shariat,
while Hadith is also an authentic writings and teachings of the Prophet.
2. Hadith are written by some specialized scholars who are believed to have roamed to the
places visited by the Prophet to perform noted activities of Islam.
3. Sunnah is an act of the Prophet, which has come down from generation to generation that
qualifies to be the strong follower of Qur'an.
4. Hadith clarifies all the acts of Sunnah by writings of more than one scholar as well as
others as well who are well known for preaching and teaching.

According to the research study done above, it can be identified that Sunnah was already
in existence even before the hadith, because the acts are all mentioned in the holy book Qur'an.
Hadith is something which has been formed by ordinary people who are known to mention the
facts and support the practices of Sunnah. Sunnah was created by Allah long back when the life
on earth came into being, and this is what is mentioned in the Hadith along with the revelations
and findings of the Prophet. The process of revelation in the Hadith therefore took place with the
help of Allah's messengers who through the Prophet spread the practices of Sunnah with the help
of Hadith.
