1EXPRESSIVE ARTS IN EDUCATION
Education is the basic that helps a person to develop in every aspect of their life. As
Ashwin (2019), mentioned that inclusion of arts in education helps intrigue creativity.
Developing rich curriculum is an important factor that will help in the improvement of the
growth of the child making one better to take initiatives in their future studies. The paper is
intended to develop a rich curriculum that is integrated with expressive arts in planning for
language arts, social studies, maths and science for K4 through 4th grade classroom.
In the development of a rich curriculum, every subject plays an important factor that
helps in the improvement of the education of the children. It has been evident in the paper of
DuBois & Keller (2016), that inclusion of arts in education help in the rapid growth of a
child. In most of the schools, I have observed that dealing with special child use of arts in
their curriculum, as it is one of the efficient way of expression. When arts is being introduced
in the curriculum of children, there is sense of emotion that grows up in children. Arts as
mentioned by El-Mahdy, Qoura, & El Hadidy (2019), arts is an expression of love.
Development of various subjects in the curriculum is an important factor that helps
the children gather various knowledge. Development of various subjects makes a child aware
of the condition of the environment where he or she is living in. It helps in making a child
socialise. Inclusion of social science helps in the development of the knowledge of the
environment and the ways one must care for the environment that will help in the
development of the society bringing in good things. I have witnessed that is necessary that the
children today must care for the environment as it will help in the preserving the natural
resources (Nemiro, Larriva & Jawaharlal, 2017). Hence, maths is also an important subject
that will help in the growth of the cells with the help of calculation.
Hence, it can be concluded that development of child is witnessed in the early period
of their life. Every subject has different perspectives and impact in the life of the children.

Hence, it is important that the children must learn about everything and every subject that
will help in the development of the growth of the child making them stable to lead a better
life. With the inclusion of various subjects in the curriculum, there will be development of the
overall activity of the child. As I have witnessed arts help in the expression of a child that
helps in the development of creativity of the child making the child smart and enough to
handle issues. Along with arts, social science and maths are the subjects that will help in the
growth of the child. Other subjects helps the child to grow and live a better life. Hence,
development of a rich curriculum is an important factor that will make a child grow and
develop in every sphere of life.
