Introduction
Any extranet imparts significant value to the company by assisting in the
enhancement in the communication and the collaboration effectively with the customers,
clients and the partners. In the sector of manufacturing, the companies uses the extranets for
providing the access to the manuals of product and the technical specifications (Caber,
Albayrak and Loiacono 2013).
Companies who develop extranet
Rocktime is a company that develops the extranet and this platform allows the
controlling of diverse information range efficiently and it also helps in the communication,
management and the sharing of information.
Tribal system is another company that develops the platform of extranets that can help
the company is managing the suppliers.
Conclusion
A VPN allows the secure extension of the private internet or any other network
service, and it also facilitates the connections of e-commerce and extranet with the business
partners, customers and the suppliers (Rekhter et al. 2016). The VPN allows the secure
connection of the companies and it would provide an extra layer of security for the
organisation network. The company BECO could implement the functions of VPN for
allowing the secure connection among the extranets of the branches and execute efficient data
sharing. It would eliminate the threat of data theft by any other organisation or any
unauthorised user.
