In this section, reflect on your foundation journey – what techniques have you learnt?
What are your strengths and weaknesses? Tell us about what you have experienced
on the foundation so far.
During my visit to the Faberge in London: Romance to Revolution, there were
many techniques which I have learnt which includes making detailed analysis and
study of the things. There are many strengths of mine which I have identified as a
result of my foundation journey which includes firstly the communication skills as
I was able to make of it in an effective manner during this journey which helped
me in making research of this project. Another strength is my creativity skills
which helped me in taking forward this foundation journey as I was able to have
understanding of all the stuff which were displayed at the exhibition and come up
with creative design. Apart from this, there are many weakness of mine which
were explored during this journey which included decision making skills and use
of the effective technology as I was able to make proper use of it which became
hurdle in my foundation journey. Hence, the overall experience of this journey

was air and I got my opportunities which helped me in taking forward this journey
in effective manner.

Explain your approach to the theme. Give an overview of what you plan to
include in your portfolio – what techniques will you use? What primary and
secondary research will you conduct? What final design outcome will you
create?
During my foundation journey, the main approach to this theme in the
fashion industry was to be creative enough so that an understanding can be
gained as to how to make detailed study of the exhibition. There are many
techniques which will be used by me in order to bring effective outcome of
the design which includes making use of the proper graphics and designs so
that effective design can be brought. For making success of this project,
there are mainly two types of research methods which will be used by me
which includes primary and secondary research. The former includes making
the original study or collection of the information or data so that the original
research is conducted and detailed study can be done to make the project
more reliable and relevant. Then is secondary research being used by me as
it will help me in gathering the already collected information which may be
time consuming for me to collect or may be difficult to gather. These both the
research will play an essential role in my project as it will give a reliability to
my data collected so that positive and fair outcomes can be drawn from it.

The planning shall be assessed by me by making use of the primary and secondary
research. During my project, the feedback from my peers will play an essential role
while thereafter, the feedback of the my mentor will help me in making evaluation of
the project so that I can gain the knowledge of what has been done so far by me.
The success of my project shall be dependent upon majorly on the mentor’s
feedback as they will help me in taking true insight of mistakes done by me during
this project.
