Abstract
The following Research proposal is on the impact of advertisement on Facebook over the young
customers. Facebook and other social platforms have now days have been greatly emerging as a
advertisement platform for all kinds of endorsement of different kind of products. This Research
proposal will demonstrate all the research designs and solutions to this issue and the impacts
which advertisements are making on the young customers ( Zhu, 2015).
Introduction
Social media platforms are in greatly used in the developing countries and these are heavily used
among the youngsters who are enthusiastic on getting updated on all field which they are able to
do so, using these platforms. Due to this heavy usage of social media platforms, there are some
other uses also have been started to be consumed by the advertisement companies, as they have
started advertising their products on the social media. Hence this research is purely based on the
impacts which these advertisements are making over the young customers.
Research questions
What products are majorly affecting young customers and why?
There are no such hard guidelines over the advertisement policies on the Facebook, and also
there is no restriction on whom of what age can make an account on Facebook, hence any age
group can be easily found on Facebook. There is some restriction imposed but Facebook do not
verify much about the age group which is using the account on Facebook. There are ads on
contraceptives, some porn websites ads are also there, some are banned but still some
advertisement companies are still able to advertise those products on to Facebook which is
highly affect young teenagers who are around 18, as these are meant for adult not for them.
What can be done to stop it?
Facebook just ask to type your age and start using Facebook as it is free and open to all. There is
solution which should be adopted by Facebook is to verify the user age whether he or she is
actually of 18plus or not. Hence Facebook should ask for a valid identity card or a scanned copy
which can verify their age group (Ashley, 2015).
