INTRODUCTION
As the society is developing very rapidly due to which the competition in the market has
also been increased. Because of this increased competition it has became very important for the
employer to focus upon their employability skills. These employability skills will be beneficial
for the company in order to get an edge over its other existing competitors by employing those
graduates who possess a wide range of skills and are having many skills so that one person can
be able to do various roles required in the business. Getting a job is also very competitive in
today's market and an employee must focus upon his skills and have knowledge about the
employability skills which a employer expects in a new graduate. This reflective report is
prepared for the purpose to know about my employability skills and the strengths and weakness
to remain in a company like Facebook. The Gibb's Reflective Cycle model of reflection will be
followed in this report. In this report communication skills, research skills, team work skills,
problem solving skills will be covered.
MAIN BODY
As every employer wants a skilled employee in the company and Facebook is not an
exception to this. By employing the skilled employees in the Facebook it will lead in achieving
goals and success for the company. There are various employability skills which a person should
posses while working in Facebook. Those employability skills has been discussed following:
Communication Skills
Having a good communication skill is a basic requirement for any employee because it is
the most important thing which is required at our workplace in order to complete the tasks given
to us by the employer. These communication skills covers oral as well as written. In some cases
an oral communication will required such as convincing clients for using the products and
services of their company. While if the matter is related to some government office, the written
communication skills will be used. I possess very good communication skills which many a
times has resulted in the benefit of the company as due to my communication skills oral as well
written many people started using our services(Abas and Imam, 2016).
Team Work Skills
This skill is also required by the employers as in present time every task would be
completed in the team work. As I have worked earlier also in the completion of various tasks

believe that doing tasks in groups helps in giving more productive results. As in the teamwork
various capable minds do work collectively which lead in completion of that task in more
efficient manner. For instance when I was allotted with the task of updating certain features of
Facebook me and my team has worked very efficiently which has resulted in a positive response
from the general public who are using our services(Belwal, Priyadarshi and Al Fazari, 2017).
Problem Solving Skills
As the world is full of problems while achieving the success, it is very important for a
company to recruit such employees who are efficient for the company to solve problems which
can come in future.
Self Management Skills
After the completion of the training the management of the company expects from an
employee to be able to independently complete the task which has been assigned to him. This
doing of work alone without needing anyone will be known as self management skills which an
employer expects that this skill should be there in his employee. As many a times I have done
many tasks successfully without taking help from anyone. Those works which were done alone
by me gave astonishing results which gave unexpected success to the company. For instance the
work for introducing feature of call on Facebook Messenger was done alone by me(Bizzi, 2018).
Planning and Organizing Skills
As each company is having limited resources whether it is big or small. It is very
necessary for its employees to prepare such plans so that company can achieve the success by
completing its goals through those available resources.
Technology Skills
Technological advancements are creating great impact upon the functioning of a
company. Every employer wants that each of its employee should be proficient in using the
computers and other technological advancements which will positively impact upon the growth
of the company. I am well versed with all the technological advancements which are used in my
company as I have done a separate course related to computers which will be beneficial for me
as well as my company in order to achieve growth(Giglio and Palmieri, 2017).

Initiative and Enterprise Skills
Companies prefers those candidates to employ who are multi skilled and can adjust in
any department if the need arises. I am possessed with multi task and can be able to work in any
department of Facebook and can easily cop up with the new situations and challenges(Griffin
and Coelhoso, 2019).
My Strengths
I Possess very good ability to do work in a team. When I have worked in a team, I have
shared many innovative ideas and also acted as team leader. When I have acted as team leader, I
have allotted the various tasks to my team members and monitored that anybody is not facing
any difficulty in completion of that task. I am also very good in self management. Whenever the
upper authorities has assigned me a task to complete on an individual basis, I have succeeded in
that within the prescribed time limit. Usually while doing any task I make the list of the things
which I have to complete. After that I set a deadline for myself to ensure that these tasks should
get completed before the deadline got expired. I am very curious to learn new skills for myself.
In my opinion it is very beneficial for an employee to learn new skills as it will lead in the
overall development of the employee. Having above average technological skills is a plus point
for me as I have done a separate computer related course. I am able to deal with high standard
software.
My Weaknesses
As I am weak in solving the problems which occurs instantly. I become hyper when any
problem comes suddenly. I am not so strong in providing a good solution for the existing
problems by examining all the aspects of that problem. Also there can be certain cases where I
will not be able to implement the strategy of the company in a required manner. This is because
there can be a case where a conflict can arise between my personal opinion and the strategy of
the company. Its my weakness that I can't work against my opinion because I feel that if I work
against my mind I will not be able to do justice to my work.
Required Employability Skills to Work in Facebook
Each person has various strengths and weaknesses and the same things applies to the

skills. Possession of these skills is required and has been made mandatory by majority of the
companies so that the person who is going to get employed must act as an asset for the company
and not as a liability in order to get an edge over its other competitors. The following are the few
requirements which are required by the Facebook leadership while recruiting any of its
employees(Wolff and Booth, 2017):
The Person must be having ability to effectively present his ideas.
The person must be having an ability to introduce innovative ideas in the functioning of
the company.
The person must be having the quality of managing its team members.
The person must be having the ability to motivate and encourage its team members.
The person must be having good communication skills oral as well as written.

By doing the above report it has been proved that a person who will be having more
employability skills will get the preference by the employer at the time of recruitment. It is
recommended that every person who wants to do a job in a reputed company like Facebook must
overcome his weaknesses and should also try to more develop his existing skills. If a person will
be able to convince its recruiters with his possessed skills, he will definitely get job. In this report
