INTRODUCTION
Each firm aim to gain competitive advantage and conduct operations in such manner so
that it can sustain in the market for longer duration. Facilities operation management helps the
firms in identifying issues and making effective strategies through which entity can meet with its
objectives (Heizer, 2016). McDonalds is the most popular firm that conducts its operations
across the world. It serves more than 46 million consumers globally. Due to operational
efficiency of the firm entity is able to manage its operations well and running business smoothly.
Present study will discuss responsibility of facilities manager towards staff, customers and
operations of the business. Furthermore, it will explain health, safety and environmental
measures that need to be implemented in the organization. In addition, report will develop
effective system for processing information and maintaining communication in the workplace.

1.1 Responsibility of facilities manager for staff engagement
Facilities manager is responsible to provide quality services to the consumers.
McDonalds is the firm where many employees work, it is responsibility of the manager that to
enhance engagement among all staff members so that they can perform their duties well and can
communicate with each other freely (Zhang and et.al, 2016). The responsibility of the facilities
manager is to manage their staff members well and address their issues. Individual is responsible
to review their performance and make them aware with the quality standard. Manager has to
monitor their performance and have to give training to them so that they can perform their work
effectively. McDonalds always focuses on providing quality services to consumers. Thus,
facilities manager in the cited firm have to ensure that all the employees perform their work
effectively (Woo.and et.al., 2015). Manager check temperature of kitchen and cleanses as well.
Manager has duty to make people aware with their role and responsibility in the business so that
they can perform in the organization well.

the service users. They have to ensure that all its consumers get attractive offer that can support
in attracting them towards the brand frequently (Lucas, 2017). Individual has duty to improve
satisfaction level of the consumers and improve their trust on the brand. Before going to any
place consumers check the quality of services of the place, if it is not good then they go to other
place. Thus, facilities manager of McDonalds is responsible to meet the needs of consumers and
minimize number of complains in the business unit. Individual has to ensure safety and security
in the workplace so that no consumer meet with the accident.

they will not allot funds. In such condition entity may get failed to conduct its operations well.
Furthermore, employer can also affect operations of the company. Employers make decision

who can give them raw material at low cost but with high quality. If they do not make sound
decision then McDonalds make get failed to produce high quality food and it will get failed to
offer satisfactory food to the consumers. In such condition clients may get negative towards the

assist in conducting operations in smooth manner (Woo.and et.al., 2015). McDonalds has licence
and it takes permission for the concern authorities before entering in other nations. This helps the
firm in minimizing complications. It follows the audit rules and regulation. Therefore,
McDonalds conducts internal and external audit every year so that its accounts can be managed
well. It provides health security and safer environment to its employees as per the employment
legislation. It provides them salaries as per the guideline of UK government. If company does
not follow these regulation them employee may get negative and this will impact negative on the
overall performance of the business unit. Company follows employment law, equality law in
