Abstract
Proper mental health is very important for every person; those who don't have this cannot lead their
life properly. The topic is concerned with the factors which have led to an increase in severe mental
health in the UK. I have extracted several factors which are responsible for it. First, I have provided
a brief introduction where the brief of the topic is mentioned. Then the researcher has given the
detailed analysis of research methodology which helps me to station its goal. I have used secondary
data for progressing this research work. I have used the mono method as secondary data has been
taken for this research. One of the important factors of deteriorating mental health is the
environment. Along with this, the factors like unemployment, genetic and physical condition are
also important. I as I have provided some statistical data in the result part and critically analyzed
the topic in discussion matter with the help of theories.
Introduction
Mental health brings inner peace in mind. Having a good mental health helps the person to live a
happy life, but these days most of the people are suffering but psychological disorder. Several
factors like unemployment, genetic and physical condition work behind this. Daily lifestyle is one
of the major factors. According to several reports, it has been found that these days the Indian
women are mostly affected by a psychological disorder. As data published by Bohra, Srivastava and
Bhatia (2015), Sixty-eight percent of the women were afflicted with lifestyle ailments such as ... It
is said that long hours of working under strict deadlines cause up to 75% of
working women to suffer from depression or general anxiety disorder. I have here chosen this topic
as this will help them in the future study. According to the topic, I have provided a brief
methodology. I have here used secondary sources of data, and the help has been taken from several
books and journals. I have related several theories with the topic. According to the research method

I have analyzed findings. Medical science has developed so much and introduced different kinds of
treatments, but this has too many risk factors. I have analyzed those risk factors in the discussion
part. According to the topic, I have given an overall view of the selected topic and summaries that
part in the conclusion portion. The aim of this paper is to discuss the factors that have led to an
increase in severe mental health in the UK.
Methodology
A proper research methodology helps me to complete the research perfectly. I have followed
several steps for doing this research successfully. Every research can be done by using a proper
method. I as the researcher have followed a particular purpose and a specific approach for doing
this research. Every research work needs two types of data such as primary data and secondary data.
Primary data can be gathered from different interviews survey result, but secondary data are
collected from various journals, books websites, and articles. I have gathered secondary data from
another type of statistical data (Zeanah, 2018). Every research has objectives, by the topic, here I
will evaluate various factors which are affecting the mental health of people and even the children
also have a mental disorder.
Research method: There are three types of research method such as “mono-method, multi-method
and mixed method”. Mono method is where the researcher analyses one particular kind of data
either primary or secondary. This type of research method eradicate the complexity of research
work, and the output is bright (Andreassen et al. 2016). A mixed approach is where the researcher
analyzed data from several perspectives; one type of data is analyzed differently. The third type of
research method is multi-method where the researcher examined both primary and secondary type
of information critically. According to the topic, the researcher here used the mono method because
the researcher has evaluated only secondary data.
In this respect, the mono method has been used where the secondary data collection from
journals, books and articles published on the topic of mental health. This secondary data collection

method has described different types of relevant concepts as well as ideas which are appropriate
with this topic. This details the understanding of the different authors regarding the mental health of
the people in the UK. In this method, the previous academic researches regarding the factors of
deteriorated mental health in the country has been understood.
Research approach: There are two types of research approach one is inductive, and other is
deductive. It is already stated that only secondary data has been used in this research so that the
researcher has taken the help of journals and websites. Here analysis of different journals and
aligned this with the topic. The deductive approach is where different types of journals theories are
examined critically and deductive research approach is less time consuming, on the other hand, the
inductive research approach is much complicated here I need to propound several theories and it is
too much time-consuming. In relevance to the topic, I have used the deductive approach as several
types of methods are aligned with the problem (Clement, 2015). The Theories are extracted from
different websites and journals.
I have used inductive approach of research because there is limited scope to collect data
from the interview or survey regarding mental health problems in the entire country is difficult.
Therefore I had to depend upon the existing literature and research from others. In addition to this,
this approach helps to support the understanding of the research guided by different theories.
Despite the fact that this inductive approach is time consuming but help to get the dependable and
reliable data.
Research philosophy: A particular research philosophy helps the researchers to meet research
objectives; there are four types of research philosophies such as "pragmatism, interpretivism,
positivism, and realism". Every kind of view has a different purpose.
Positivism: According to research philosophy the researchers need to provide scientific or statistical
evidence. "Value-free-approach” is another name of a positivist approach. Some incidents need
mathematical proof without proper numerical analysis; the researcher is unable to reach its
conclusion.
