Introduction
The Family Life Tropical Resort is considered as a premium resort which is situated in
Sarigerme, Dalaman area in Turkey. The resort is famous due to its attractiveness and high-level
facilities. The main reason behind its attractiveness is the way of blended the combining sea, the
sun, and sand. All this provide a great enjoyment and dream holiday right to its customers. It has
become the most popular destination in its region, due to its reputation for beautifully landscaped
tropical gardens, excellent customer service, and the promise of a perfect stay to its guests. But,
the resort also faces some problems in its life. The major problem is the absence of online reser-
vation system and strong online presence. This will lose the interest of customers in the resort. In
the absence of online system, the resort is not able to attract corporate clients and VIP tourists. In
this paper, we will discuss the implementation of the technological system in the resort. This will
help the resort to solve its problems in an efficient way. Implementation of technological system
connects the resort with the worldwide internet map (Kerzner, 2013). It facilitates the tourists
and clients to look holiday destinations online and also allow them to communicate with the re-
sort to resolve their different queries.
Task 1: Project Proposal
1. Project Management and its Principles in implementing the technological devel-
opment task
Project Management is considered as the application of skills, methods, processes experience,
and knowledge to achieve the predetermined project objectives and success criteria’s. On the
other hand, a project is known as a temporary endeavor developed to manufacture a different

product, result or service with a defined end and beginning constraints. The main challenge of
project management is to attain all the objectives of the project within predetermined constraints.
For successful implementation of technological system the project management team of resort
should follow below-mentioned principles:
Project Structure: Management of technological system project in resort mainly revolves
around three main areas which are quality, time and resources. Project manager of the resort
should determine the clear structure of projects such as project milestone, timeline, order and its
goal so that no any problem can face by the resort in future (Burke, 2013).
Definition Phase: This principle is very necessary to follow. It is because definition phase is the
starting phase of the project. So, the project manager of a technological development project in
resort should focus more on conducting overall planning of the project. The project may fail in
the absence of clear definition. It is because a definition is muddled due to the involvement of
various stakeholders.
Clear Goals: The project manager of the technological project of the resort is responsible for the
attainment of a project goal. The project manager should clear define the goals of the project by
using SMART paradigm such as measurable, time-bounded, specific, and realistic (Schwalbe,
2015).
Transparency about Project Status: Milestone, structure plan, and flow chart are important

project in high context. The project may fail if needs of tourists do not meet in an effi-
cient manner. Even when delivered on predetermined budget, and time. If lack involve-
ment of tourist is there, the whole project can become a failure. So, tourist needs and the
requirement should focus during an implementation of a project.
• Support of Executive Management: This affects the progress and process of project and
absence of input from executive can put a project at a serious disadvantage.
• Clear Statement of requirements: This refers to the required and base level requirements.
The project manager is able to reduce the effect of change by creating an obtainable and
base level of requirements (Fitzsimmons, 2013). The high benefit of this factor is that
project manager can better prepare towards priorities of the next phase of a project.
• Proper Planning: It is the key factor which influences overall success of the project. Cre-
ating a project plan should be the priority of project manager. In the absence of it, project
objective cannot achieve in an efficient manner.
Apart from all this success of resort project is highly depends on competent staff, realistic expec-
tations, hard-working and focused staff, ownership and smaller project milestones. If all these

• Estimation and Planning Factor: If schedule and the initial cost of the project are not es-
timated in right manner than the overall project can fail. The estimation may be wrong if
the project manager finds more information available for the project (Walker, 2015). In
the same manner, if plans are not utilized in right direction to guide the project onward,
thus causing the overall project to fail.
• Implementation Factor: This is caused by wrong use of project methodology, changes in
project scope, changes in testing and requirements, and poor inspection.

3. Principles behind setting up the procedures and systems for the effective utiliza-
tion of resources
It is the responsibility of the project manager to set the procedures and systems in such a way
through which the available resources can be utilized in an efficient manner. The following prin-
ciples should follow by the project manager of resort project for efficient utilization of resources:
• Infrastructure Management: The main motive behind the infrastructure management is to
contribute to the right in sequence, with the right people, at the right time, and in the right
arrangement. Effective management of infrastructure enables the project manager to uti-
lize the available resources in the desired manner so that project objective can be attained
successfully.
• Communication Management: Project manager can implement the communication man-
agement by three important processes which are identification, allocation, and coverage
(Verzuh, 2015). These help the project manager in creating healthy communication envi-
ronment which facilitate effective utilization of available resources.

with project. The particular electronic system act as an aid in planning, executing as well a close
goals of the project management. It varies in terms of scope, design as well as features depending
on the business operational needs. In other words it is typically regarded as computer driven
system that assist the project manager in developing the project.
There is presence of several components in relation with the project management information
system. Such involves project performance indicator tracking system, procurement planning and
monitoring system, disbursement planning and tracking system, procurement activity tracking
system as well as project planning and system of scheduling. A typical PMIS software possess

2.1 Planning of human resources

human beings to complete the project in the desired manner:
