Every family has different rules, different disciplines
and roles as the individual in every family have
different attitude and perception. For understanding
and managing the family various theories are
developed by the psychologist which help them to
analyse their reactions and behaviour in different
situation.
With the help of all theories the
behaviour of the individual are
analyzed and the extent to which it
affect the behaviours and attitude of
entire family is identified. All the
theories are based upon the fact that
it a social system which is based
upon some goals that can be for
survival or for the development of
the family.
According to family system theory, a family
can be better understood by considering it as
a complex, dynamic and changing part, also
on the basis of their the family members and
their subsystems. While the family
developmental theory considers the family
life cycle stages for understanding the family
and various changes that occurs with the

focuses upon the marital quality and the
stability among the individuals but it is
dependent upon the cost and benefits of
selecting the partner. While the ecological
theory is based upon the fact the human are
interdependent with the environment and if
