AI Summary
This report details the interface design and development of the Local Farm Shop application, which aims to provide users with features for purchasing food, drinks, and gift items, as well as booking restaurant reservations. The design process involved creating mockups in Balsamiq, using wireframes to represent application features, and adhering to Nielsen's Heuristic principles to ensure usability and user-friendliness. The application includes functionalities like sign-up/sign-in, menu options, and a feedback mechanism. The report reflects on the user interface, user requirements, and justification for the design choices, highlighting factors like business and user needs. A similar application, Keelham Farm Shop, is discussed for comparative analysis. The conclusion summarizes the entire interface design process, emphasizing improvements made based on feedback and the implementation of Nielsen's heuristic principles.

Abstract
An application Local Farm Shop is developed to provide features like food items, drink items and gift
items to users of application. For the application, the mockups are created in the tool Balsamiq. The
wireframes are used to represent the features of the application Local Farm Shop. There are 4 unique
stages in the Local Farm Shop. In the first stage, the two alternative designs are created for the application
Local Farm Shop. In the second stage description of the design selected is carried out. After the option is
selected the interface is designed and then documentation is created for the interface design. In the third
stage, the feedback is noticed for interface design. The feedback is given other team members. In the last
fourth stage, the last documentation is made for application Local Farm Shop. Interface is design for
customer who wants to buy food item, gift item and drink item. The interface can be further improved.
Introduction
The application Local Farm Shop is developed for providing the different features like gift items, food
items and drink items and restaurant can be book using the application. The application provides different
unique functionality like sign-up option, sign-in option, menu choice and other different options. A logout
option is present on each interface screen of application local Farm Shop. The back button is also there on
each interface screen of application local Farm Shop whenever user can go to back screen and navigate in
between screen. There are majorly three different categories of application Local Farm Shop which are
gift category, drink category and food category (Zhang & Adipat, 2005).
For creating the application Local Farm Shop, a Nielsen Heuristic model principle is used. This model is
used to create interface screen. The features linked with heuristic principles are search button, back
button, user-interactive and many more. The Nielsen heuristic principle used is efficiency of use, help,
and documentation, diagnose, visibility of system status. These all heuristic principle are used in
application Local Farm Shop (Bal,2013).
There is one unique feature in the application Local Farm Shop in which the menu item is present on each
screen like welcome screen, home screen. In welcome screen the menu item is present but the options are
not accessed until user does not sign-in or sign-up I the application Local Farm Shop. There is also a
feedback option where user can ask their queries and can submit their reviews and feedback.

User interface and design
The application Local Farm Shop is developed to provide various facilities like user can book restaurant.
There are two different packages one is golden package and one is platinum package. User can view the
package details and according to that can book the restaurant. The user can purchase various items like
drink items, food items, and gift items. There is an option of description in which user can read the
description of product and then can buy the product (Pommeranz, Broekens, Wiggers, Brinkman &
Jonker, 2012).
The application local Farm Shop is based on Nielsen heuristic principles. The background color used in
the application Local Farm Shop is according to theme of application.
