Introduction
The case study that is assignment deals with is an online application for local farm shop.
The local farm shop application that is proposed in this assignment deals with all the requirement
that the user needs and all the requirements that the shop owner wants from the application. The
user can choose products from the shop as they wish to. The shop owner needs to sell the
products from its store and provide with the facility of home delivery to the customers. The
application designed fulfils all those requirements. Another additional feature that the application
provides is booking a restaurant in the area. The user can book table in their choice of restaurant.
If the user wants organize some parties or functions, they can even book the whole restaurant for
a day. This is an additional feature that the this application provides
Discussion
Target users-The users who are targeted for using this online application is the local users
of the city. As the farm shop is a local farm shop, it is a small business organization and
cannot deliver their products and goods outside the city or the country (Fu et al., 2018).
So the local users are targeted for using this application.
The design principles that influence the application design- The design principles that
effects the application design is there should be a proper communication in between the
shop owner, the restaurant owner, the user and the ban for the payment purpose (Thomas,
Oppermann & Krogsæter, 2017). The application is designed with outmost care with
proper alignment of all the objects that are shown on the screen. Navigation in between
the pages are made properly. All the components in the prototype addresses the design
principles.

2INTERFACE USEABILITY
The usability goals- The usability goals that this application is to fulfill the requirement
of user. The user needs to buy products online and get the delivery within the same day.
The user also needs to book a restaurant in that local area. All these usability goals of the
user is designed properly in this prototype (Thies, 2015). The usability goal of the shop
owner is to sell its goods and that is also satisfied by this application. The components
that addresses the usability goals is buy products, restaurant booking, and payment.
User experience goals- The user experience goals that are expected to achieved with this
application that the user can book a restaurant in that area and can even book the whole
restaurant for organizing personal functions and or small parties (Endsley, 2016). The
user can guided smoothly about what to do next for buying the product or make a
booking. The user can many categories of products from the farm shop and can get the
delivery on the same day. The about us tab, the phone number that the provided in the
design addresses the user experience goals in the prototype.
Positive and negative influence of the application design- The advantages that is design
provides the user is that they can book a restaurant sitting in the home and can view the
availability of seats in a particular restaurant (Page, 2014). The shopkeeper also can avoid
the huge rush of customer in the shop as they can order online itself. The negative
influence is that while making the payment, the user may face problem if the internet
connection is not proper. The design that is made also does not have proper pictures and
images for attracting the customers and the page should be made colorful.
Designed prototype is best solution for the case study- The design that is made in the
prototype fulfills all the requirement of the user as well as the objective of the farm shop
owner. The design that is made is user friendly and efficient to use (Shneiderman et al.,

2016). The design application enables the user to shift swiftly in between the pages of the
application. The design gives an extra facility to book a restaurant in the area by checking
the availability of tables in that restaurant.
Conclusion
In this assignment a detailed discussion is done about the application of the farm shop.
This is an online application that provides many facilities to the user as well as the owner of the
shop. The particular users who are targeted for using this application is described in this
assignment. The prototype is designed to influence the requirement of all users in that local area
and the designing principles influences the design that is made. There are certain usability goals
that are described in this assignment. The goals for user experience is also explained in this
assignment.
