Introduction
Organisation is required to manage their workforce as employees play an important role
in order to attain the common goal of the organisation. The Human Resource Department used to
manage Their employees and also hire the required workforce in the company. To hire the
employees the department used to determine different recruitment selection and onboarding
procedures so that they could select the skillful and knowledgeable candidate in the organization
(Agbasiere, 2020). This report is about the case scenario of Farmbox company which is an
organisation used to distribute Fresh Food products directly to their customers with the help of
an online ordering platform. The organisation is based in Cheshire, United Kingdom. India's
pandemic situation the organisation has got an Unexpected Rapid growth with order tripling
almost overnight. In order to satisfy the needs and wants of the targeted customers the
organisation is required to get proper equipment and staff immediately so that they can
effectively provide their products to their targeted customers. Report is been discussed about the
different tissues faced by the organisation in order to recruitment, selection and onboarding
procedure. Different modes and theories are discussed which are used by the organisation and
how they are affected on the behaviour of staff. An appropriate model theories and concepts
which can be developed by the organisation and their positive impacts. Lastly, the
recommendations are given in the report.
Task 1-Identify Issues
Farmbox is a very famous organisation which was developed in the year of 2019. The
company used to provide food products to that targeted customers (Allen and Liou, 2019). The
issues which are faced by the organisation in the case study are discussed below:
Recruitment issues:
Many a times the organisation can fail in order to attract the right candidate from the pool
of unqualified talented people. The company must hire the candidate from our smaller pipe line
as they are more qualified and talented people.
As the company is growing quickly so in order to satisfy the needs and wants of the
targeted customers the organisation is required to hire candidates more quickly. As the vacant
position cost money is more higher because of the delay in the services to their customers.

Selection issues:
It is difficult for the organisation to identify the appropriate skills and knowledge of
candidates.
The human resource has been traditionally known as departments who have driven the
technology.
Due to covid-19 every person used to to protect themselves by less physical contacting
with another individual. For this it is difficult for the organisation to select an appropriate
candidate with the help of online platforms.
Induction issues:
With respect to the pandemic situation which is faced by every Nation at present. The
company is also developing different strategies in order to recruit and select appropriate
candidates so that they can and hence their operations (Armentor, 2017). The organisation cannot
conduct proper induction programs which resulted in less communication with the new
candidates.
Task 2 Define HRM recruitment and selection models and theories
Define HRM recruitment and selection models
the recruitment and selection process helps the organisation in order to hier their
workforce. The department used to design different programs in order to maximize their
workforce strength in order to meet the employees strategic targets and objectives (Ballweg,
2017). Farmbox is also adopting AMO theory which means ability, motivation and opportunity.
This helps them to increase the performance of their employees. The management tool that has
an impact on their performance can utilise this theory in order to increase the ability of their
employees while motivating them to do the productive work which is beneficial for both
organisation and workforce. Helps them to provide an opportunity which will contribute to the
success of the organisation. With reference to the unity of employees it means the enhancement
of knowledge and skills which must be used in order to address them. Motivation helps them to
do the work which influences the internal and external rewards, reviews, feedback. This helps
them to develop their career as well as secure their employment opportunities. It helps in
providing and opportunities which is beneficial for the organisation and employees. It may be a

great opportunity for the organisation in order to expand them in the competitive market which
will be helpful in enhancing their profitability.
Farmbox organisations also use human capital theory which helps them to provide
education in different training programs in order to increase the productivity of their workers
(Danese, Molinaro and Romano, 2018). This has a major impact with respect to the future and
comes while increasing their lifetime earnings. Human resources department used to oversee the
organisational employees acquisition, management and Optimization. There are several types of
human capital such as:
Diligence: it is being accountable and responsible and being selfless while handling any
of the issues faced by an organisation.
Social capital: it is a comprehensive society which creates a conducive environment of
the working that allows more productivity.
Decison making: this is the process of making rational decisions in order to meet the
expected results in any of the situations, where the organisation is facing any of the
doubt.
Address a problem: the sides them in order to develop the ability to find the solution of
various problems by finding the cause of issues in order to do it before blaming a finding
faults in any of the other person.
Design: it is important for the organisation to design and come up with original and new
ideas in order to generate the useful and tangible things in different aspects of the
economy (Laragy and Vasiliadis, 2020). This helps them to bring an innovative idea in
order to attract their customers in an effective way.
Resilience: it is known as the act of enduring hardship without losing the thread in order
to complete any of the science questions. These kinds of things we keep and go without
influencing from the obstacles which are faced by the organisation while conducting their
operations.
Farmbox is currently using the above discussed theories in order to get effective work from
their staff (Hutsebaut and et. al., 2019). They had four family members Plus two farmhands with
use of one delivery van. In the company they have not employed any of the people in order to
satisfy the needs and wants of their targeted customers. In the year of 2020 the business has

experienced unexpected Rapid growth as they got the offer tripling on most overnights. But the
form has only 4 family members to satisfy the needs and wants of the targeted customers. For
this only the form box is required to increase the number of staff immediately which will be
helpful in providing their services to their target customers. Organisation used to provide
satisfaction to their employees so that developed their ability which would be helpful in working
in a productive way. With the help of the model, organisation used to provide different kinds of
motivational things which helps them to motivate their workforce of the business organisation in
order to provide different appreciation rewards and other things as a motivational. This helps
them to Grab the different opportunities which are present in the competitive market. As in the
current pandemic situation, only the stories of necessary items are generating profits, rest of all
are at the stage of winding up because of the losses which are incurred to the owner.
Organisation has decided to hire candidates which are interested to serve their skills and
knowledge in the organization (McNeil, 2021). For this the company has planned to take 20
minutes online interviews in order to determine their skills and sustainability. As the organisation
is required to search candidates which can be worked from from the day of selection. From the
pool of different candidates it is difficult for the organisation to determine the accurate skills and
knowledge possessed by the candidate in order to satisfy the needs and wants of the employer.
After the selection of the candidate it is observed that search candidates completed their
operational productivity which is decreased in the market. The orders were undertaken in
completely delivered to their customers for whom there is an enhancement in the complaints of
their customers. In order to overcome this the employee is recommended that he must conduct
their appropriate training and development programs in order to make aware about the skills and
knowledge which will be helpful to work properly in the organisation. Without and proper
training the behaviour of the stars has majorly impacted on the working of the organisation
because of this many customers use to complain with respect to the incomplete delivery of the
products, extend the time of delivery and many others (Rabbets, 2019). This will result in
making a negative image of the brand because of these customers are not satisfied with the
services and products of farm box.
The behaviour of the staff is affecting the productivity of the farm box. As their staff is not
there required skills and knowledge because of which they are lacking in order to attend the
common goal of the organisation. Staff members are not working longer than their contracted.

They are also working like they will leave the organisation once they have secured the
employment opportunity elsewhere. This might be because of the low pay scales and less growth
with respect to the career of such candidates. This can be also because of unhealthy working
culture in the organisation, which might be demotivating their staff.
Task 3 Assessing the appropriateness of Models
Determine the appropriate model, stories and concepts which can be developed by the
farm box and also identify the positive elements and the area where the organisation needs to
improve it.
Farmbox has adopted the human capital theory which will be focused on the employees
and the job performance. This model helps them to measure capital initiatives which helps them
in order to develop the organisational level capabilities. It helps in maintenance invisible control
over the functions of an organisation. Organisation camps impose different rules and regulations
in order to control the activities of their employees with the help of technology also. It is one of
the decision components of organisation theory and human resource management. Based on
different research their resource management is designing the management sister so that they can
ensure that the human capital talent can be used in an effective manner in order to accomplish
the goals of a company (Santus and et. al., 2019). What the organisation is trying to ensure is that
talent of their employees can be used in an effective manner as they are focusing on the
performance of a company which is connected with the cost. There is a new view of human
capital theory which requires the perfect motivation to their force which needs to in self
determination theory. This helps them to motivate their employees so that they are willing to
learn and put special knowledge and skills into their working habits in order to improve the
effectiveness of work. this helps in determining the relation between human capital and the
organisation so that they can the company can determine the human resource management
strategies in order to manage their workforce, organisational structure, and helps them in
handling the discrimination within the organisation.
The farm box organisation is also using AMO theory as it is beneficial for the
organisation because it helps them to enhance the ability of work of their employees by
motivating them to attend the common goal of the organisation. It also provides an opportunity
for the employees as well as for the workforce so that they can use their skills and knowledge in

an appropriate manner and also enhance the productivity of the company (Schulenkorf, 2017).
The negative impact of this theory on the organisation is that it requires an amount of investment
in order to motivate their employees. It is bit expenses which enhance the cost to the
organisation.
Task 4 identify and recommended models
In the case study, Farmbox is facing an issue with respect to their workforce as they are
not working in an effective manner. Organisation must provide a regular break during the work
which helps them to get relaxed from the work. The company must improve the working culture
which motivates their employees to work in a positive environment. The employees must be
reduced to destruction while allowing them to give a happy and healthy culture. It is the duty of
the organisation to ensure that their employees are happy and satisfied with their job or not. For
this they must conduct different feedback from their employees in order to determine the
loopholes in the working culture. The organisation must appreciate the efforts of their employees
in order to enhance their working pattern while giving them gratitude at personal level. These
things must be consider by the Farmbox organization in order to enhance the productivity of the
employees. The organization must focus on these things which will be helpful in order to
improve the strategies so that they can easily satisfy the needs and wants of their targeted
customers. This helps in improving the behavior of the staff (Seksel, 2017). The organization
must heir such candidates with the appropriate skills and knowledge which will be helpful for
them to attain the common goals of the organization.
Conclusion
Farmbox is a small Enterprise who used to provide fresh food products to their customers
by the help of an online ordering platform. In this pandemic situation the organisation has got an
unexpected growth and for this they are required to enhance their workforce. From the above
report it can be concluded that organizations are required to identify the issues which are faced
within the organisation in order to enhance their productivity in an effective manner. For this the
organisation has to determine the skills and abilities of their employees so that they can use it in
an effective manner. The company is recommended to adopt the 5 P Model of Marketing as this
helps in enhancing the quality of product price, use different techniques in order to promote the

products and services of the organization. They must focus on the place where they have to focus
on the geographical area and the people for which they have to target their customers. These are
the things which they have to focus by the managers of an firm in order to enhance the
productivity of the firm which will be resulted in making the positive brand image of the
product.
