Introduction:
This particular case study project will include discuss about the research proposal on a
FASD children. FASD refers to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. This particular project is
provided by my university.
Therefore, to conduct the research I will follow the undermentioned steps. First, I am
going to identify a family with one family characterised by this disorder. My primary aim is
to include a primary research on this topic. Second, I will be interviewing the family
members as well as the person suffering from FASD, to successfully produce case study
analysis. For this purpose I will be needing to include an interview session with all the family
members. Third, I will plan a systematic structured interview questionnaire fir my research,
as a structured and systematic questionnaire will provide me a guideline and will enable me
to look at the case from a very objective point of view abs also will enable me to gain a
systematic knowledge that is needed for my research purpose.
I am a psychology student at eminent university of Canada, and I am willing to
conduct the research first, due to me course needs and secondly, for my personal
understanding. There are many types of disorders and perspectives involved in the discourse
of psychology and all of them are fascinating (Lange et al., 2017). Therefore, to gain a sound
understanding regarding this particular topic I will involve into a research and analysis.
I am hoping to find out a detailed understanding of the causes and the symptoms and
the impacts of the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, and I believe only a firsthand
experience and analysis of a case can help me to gain a knowledge regarding the topic (Cook
et al., 2016).

2CASE STUDY RESEARCH PROPOSAL
This research analysis is important from two aspects, first it will help me to get a good
score in my project and secondly, it will help me to gain an understanding of the topic and the
varied aspects related to the same.
Research Subject Finding:
The family that I will be interviewing is a Slovenian country staying at 1 Applegate
Street Listowel, Canada. It is a conjunct family, where the child, James, stays with his parents
and his grandparents and his uncle. The mother of the child is English, therefore, the child is
half English and half Slovenian.
I got the reference of this family, from a friend from my work, who is a neighbour of
this family. It was very challenging for me to find out a family who has a patient suffering
from FASD, as this particular type of disorder is socially disrespected and the mothers are
looked at in a curt way. Hence, the family members do not want to let people know of the
disorder.
Plan:
As mentioned before, I have planned on, to involve a structured questionnaire for this
case study research process. I will compartmentalize the questions as according to the family
members, and I will also divide the time frame as well. This will provide me a systematic
approach and the study will be conducted in a concise manner. Further, I will state the family
my purpose of the study, and it will be a participant observation method. Also, I will ensure
the ethical conducts and will keep the data anonymous. The mother of the child, Mrs Green
has already agreed for the interview.
