development. Since I had worked mostly on branding and marketing campaigns as a fashion
executive, I applied for the fashion brand manager job further.
Brand awareness in the niche markets is specific and have been quite important in the list of roles
and responsibilities I had in my previous jobs. Due to the same, I have a strong understanding of the
requirements that help the brand to develop and expand successfully. In addition to that, I have
always had a strong interest in branding and consumerism as I am a medical thinker and I have
strong leadership skills. Given my creativity and organised attitude, I fit in the industry very well as I
can communicate my creative ideas from scratch to the implementation.
It would be wonderful if you consider me for this position as a fashion brand manager. If you find me
fit for this job, I would like to discuss more how I can contribute to the success of the organisation in
detail. hoping to be called in for a formal interview soon.
I've also attached my curriculum vitae and resume for your kind consideration.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,

career goals, I do have the ambition to work with a company that focuses on environmental
initiatives. I believe that the value of the company is determined by its social responsibility.
also, I heard but your company provide the proper work-life balance for all the employees.
that is another reason why I've applied for this position. To me, a job it's not just about pay
scale but about the career development, personal development and learning some social
responsibility as well. More importantly, this job will help me pursue my passion as a career
and given my interests, I couldn't find a better team to work with. I really look forward to
this learning experience.
2. Tell us about a time you worked in a group to achieve an objective (what did you do
and what was the outcome?)
According to me most of my experiences working in a group to achieve an objective was
during my university studies. I have done a few projects out of which a few where group
projects. Most of my projects involved a lot of brainstorming and discussions among the
team members. To me, it is quite important to consider the perspective of every team
member especially when it is a group. I personally believe in team effort and the results they
can provide. Apparently, most of our initial discussion did not bring us much of a result. as
the number of team meetings increased we could find more perspective and therefore
gather better ideas and direct the project in the right path (Ki and Kim, 2016). As we discuss
the outline, please pass on to writing a plan as to how it needs to be executed. also, beat
any project, as students, we will have to submit a presentation and for that, a proper
analysis needs to be done. Since we were a group, we were able to pick the best pieces from
every individual to come up with the proper final presentation (Oh, 2017). Our projects
were mostly based on E-Commerce and retail and this word definitely a learning experience
for me which as well encouraged me to enter the fashion industry.
3. Tell us about a time when you identified a new approach to solve a problem. (what did
you do and what was the outcome?)
During my projects, I had to face a lot of difficulties understanding how to come up with the
outline, time management and presentation. As for Retail Industry, take any topic, it is
always vast. There are so many things to discuss and initially collecting the appropriate
data to bring an outline is a task itself. During one of my retail projects, I had a hard time
to come up with a marketing strategy. instead of using the conventional ones, I decided
franchising would be a great option. Since the retail brand we created was supposedly a
new one, collaborating with an existing brand and selling the products out will yield
more results as compared to us entering the market as a Startup. I strongly believe that
sometimes a new approach needs to be worked upon in order to solve issues in a
project. Even when we have a proper timeline and a proper schedule as to what needs
to be done and what not there are chances that's some mistakes happen during the
implementation. According to me, it is wise to have a backup plan just in case these
issues happen. Personally I always have a backup plan.

4. Tell us about a time when you had to manage a number of different priorities and
complete a number of tasks in a short amount of time (what did you do and what was
the outcome?)
Time management is the most important skill any project manager or a team member must
have. During my college time, I had worked as a teaching assistant and was involved in
sports as well. Apart from that, I need time to do my homework and work on the
concepts to get more marks. I also wanted to do some productive tasks that could look
good on my resume. On the other hand, I consider the learning aspect first, no matter
what task I do. Initially, I couldn't manage the time because doing my homework and
studying for my exams and being to the class on time as a teaching assistant were
equally important. So, I created a schedule, more like a timetable as to what needs to be
done and the timings. As I listed down my activities, I was able to prioritise it and work
accordingly. Even after the schedule was created, I had issues when extra homework
was given or the teaching classes were rescheduled. In these cases, the list of priorities I
had helped me to make an immediate decision and work for it. As such I have faced a lot
of such situations during my project as well. Sometimes when it is a group project and
the upcoming meeting was planned to be about collaborating the individual efforts to
come up with a great presentation, there are chances that an individual might have not
completed their part of work. In these cases, I prioritise the fact that the presentation
had to be completed within the schedule and proceed accordingly. However, I do realise
that leaving a team member out is not an option. so I have signed them with the task
according to our timeline and take up the spontaneous ideas while the presentation is
being made. This as well encourages them and ensure the timeline is followed.
5. Tell us about a project you worked on that required you to persuade others to your
point of view (what did you do and what was the outcome?)
When it comes to group projects, it is common that we have different perspectives. though there is a
strong advantage, there is as well a disadvantage to it (유유유 and JinSook Hwang, 2012). Sometimes
the idea given by a specific team member may not go well with the Project objective. In this case, we
will have to make them understand why it is not a valid idea without them being offended or
accusing us of being biased. In my initial project about marketing strategies, I did have an issue with
my team member because I was unable to persuade her to understand my point of view. Her idea of
calling out the investors and coming up with the brand retail store was a great idea with a backup.
however, our budget could not accommodate the idea. Also, the other team members were
suggesting cost-effective ideas. While the rest of the team started having arguments about why they
did not want to go on with the investor idea, I took the initiative to make her understand that the
Project objective was different instead of emphasising on her idea being the wrong one. I believe
that the criticisms must be constructed and that is an important characteristic of a good leader.

● I was quite uncomfortable and nervous in the beginning however I managed not to show it.
● I was also being considered for another job in the same company which I was not prepared
for.
● I did think this was an opportunity to show my spontaneity and that seemed to be a real

interviewer. However, I did at the point that I will be learning these as soon as possible.
