Since the chosen retail store was Westside Clothing Store, it was observed that the store
was presented colourfully with catchy lines and colourful images to attract the attention
of the customers.
The store design was a rectangular shape, and all the divisions were made clear to make
separation clear and visible. This instantly catches the visitor’s attention towards the
products.
The interior graphics are mostly in pink and red because these colours tend to attract the
viewer’s attention quickly. Names on the individual products are written in a bold capital
letter where black is used as the colour. This makes these banners more prominent.
There was no specific smell at the store however there was a smell of air freshener to
help customers having a soothing experience. There is also light sounds and music
playing which gives a feeling of calmness and relaxation.
From the above mentioned highlights, it could be argued that the brand image of this
particular retail shop is interesting at the same time thought-provoking. The interior design of the
store is presented in a way that says stories about the history and background of the store and the
people who visited this place (Lahap et al., 2016). This helps to provide the customers with a
feeling of being in a place which is vintage. It does help the customers to notice their brand, and
this has resulted in the opening of a large number of outlets in different parts of the world. The
retail shop helps to get a feeling of being in an old and vintage place with the tint of modern
music and a new kind of food. It tells the stories of the celebrities who have visited the area. This
overall experience helps to have a perception that the products that are sold are actually of high
quality and worth every penny. It also helped to understand the value of a good brand image and
they are essential in broadening the customer base (Okonkwo, 2016).
