Introduction
In a business, project management has an important role as it ensure the delivery
elements. Hence, management of a business organization needs to follow strategic goals so that
the demands are fulfilled. Effective project management plan helps to manage the steps and
highlight the significance of the project. In the present study, Liberty has been selected as case
study organization. The impact of globalization on the fashion industry and the process followed
by the company to develop project management plan to overcome the challenges are explained in
the study. In addition, development of project management plan, Gantt chart and a small-scale
research by applying quantitative and qualitative method are carried out in the study. The data
using tools and technique and recommendations based on the data analysis are discussed in the
paper along with the reflection based on the outcome.
Task 1
1.1 Development of project aims and objectives
Rosemann, and vom Brocke (2015) stated that the most significant components of
fashion industry are textile, clothing as well as footwear. The major impact of globalization is
keeping people informed as well as updated on the trends in fashion industry. On the contrary,
the rapid growth of fashion companies like Zara, H&M make the situation difficult to sustain
with respective position by retaining the existing customers and attracting new customers.
Hence, it becomes required to develop an effective business plan that would assist in obtaining
competitive benefits.

The aim of the project is to develop an effective business plan that would assist to gain
competitive benefits in the market (Stark 2015). On the other hand, the project would have the
following objectives.
 To develop effective project management plan that will overcome the challenges
for globalization
 To analyze the data gathered for evaluating the impact of globalization on fashion

1.3 Carrying out a small scale research by applying quantitative and qualitative method
In order to analyze the impact of globalization on the fashion market of Liberty, a
research can be conducted where quantitative as well as qualitative data can be collected and
analyzed. Quantitative data can be obtained by organizing an online survey (Mir and Pinnington
2014). Quantitative data has been collected from conducting online survey using Google form.
There have been 100 customers from London market have been chosen as sample size for the
survey. The survey questionnaire include 9 close ended survey questions that have been prepared
using google form and uploaded online. The answers of the questions have been taken as data
and information for the research. On the other hand, qualitative data can be obtained from the
relevant secondary sources. The secondary data has been collected from online resources
including online journals, articles, books and government databases. Sánchez (2015) commented
that the updating new trends is based on the economies of the scale approach. The requirement to

minimize costs of production will be lesser. On the other hand, the local industries are affected
because of outsourcing the production as well as not able in continuing the operation
consequently. Data Analysis has been done using Likert Scale. There have been use of graphs
and tables for analyzing data and information of the research.
